𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧'𝐬 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫

Tubungan proudly showcased its local creativity and entrepreneurship through the participation of 𝗗𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 and 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲, a livelihood initiative of persons with disabilities (PWDs), in the𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 held on August 3–5, 2026 at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.

The three-day exhibit was organized by the PPSK Iloilo Province as one of the major highlights of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration.

The two local exhibitors participated in the provincial showcase upon the referral of PPSK Iloilo Province headed PPSK President Esara Aldeguer Javier thru SK Municipal Federation (SKMF) President Jennifer Buenavides in line with the continuing advocacy to promote Tubungan's local artisans, MSMEs, and inclusive livelihood opportunities.

Their participation highlighted the municipality's commitment to empowering community-based enterprises while providing wider market exposure for locally crafted products and the exceptional talents of persons with disabilities.

The SK Municipal Federation of Tubungan likewise expresses its sincere gratitude to Municipal Mayor Roquito G. Tacsagon for his steadfast support of youth and local development initiatives, to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Tubungan headed by Ma'am Diadem Pearl Tamara, together with Ms. Mary Claire Talaman, PDW Focal Person, Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) Designate Ma. Abegail Tabasondra, and Michelle C. Calaycay and Ren Mark T. Cabaya, Government Internship Program (GIP) beneficiaries from the Office of Congresswoman Janette L. Garin, for their invaluable assistance and support in making Tubungan's participation in the provincial trade fair a success.

Rising above 178 student leaders from across the Province of Iloilo, 𝗬𝘃𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗘. 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 and 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗧. 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗼𝗻 of 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, were named 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗣𝗦𝗞 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 under the 𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 program during the 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, bringing pride and honor to the Municipality of Tubungan and the entire Tubungan National High School community.

Expressing pride in their achievement, SK Municipal Federation (SKMF) President Jennifer Buenavides said the recognition is a testament to the leadership, dedication, and passion for service that both student leaders have consistently demonstrated.

Tabingo and Tacleon's appointment to the Boy and Girl Officials 2026 program underscores the Province of Iloilo's recognition of young leaders who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community involvement, and commitment to public service.

Joining the recognition ceremony were Dr. Maribel Lasquite, Principal of Tubungan National High School; Ma'am Abegail Mae Tabasondra, Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) Designate; and the Tubungan National High School SPTA President, who witnessed and celebrated this remarkable milestone of Tubungan's young leaders.

The Sangguniang Kabataan Officials of the Municipality of Tubungan successfully participated in the 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗔𝗟𝗚𝗔𝗜) 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 held on August 1–2, 2026, at Punta Villa Resort, Iloilo City.

The two-day seminar enhanced the participants' knowledge and understanding of financial accountability, governance, and responsible public service.
