PDEA ISABELA JOINS KEY PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING, LEADS DAPE AND TOT ACTIVITIES IN MACONACON

At around 8:30 AM, IA V Jojo C. Gayuma, Provincial Officer of PDEA Isabela Provincial Office, attended the 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), Provincial Development Council (PDC), and the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC). The activity was held at the GFN Dy Sr. Hall, Provincial Capitol, Alibagu, Ilagan City, Isabela.
The meeting was presided over by Hon. Francis Faustino A. Dy, Vice Governor of Isabela, with the presence of Engr. Corazon Toribio, Provincial Director of DILG, and Atty. Eduardo Cabantac, PPDC, along with other key officials.
During the meeting, the PDEA Isabela Provincial Office presented updates on the provincial drug situation, operational accomplishments, status of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program, and other relevant matters.
Earlier that day, at around 8:00 AM, a team from the Isabela Provincial Office conducted a Drug Abuse Prevention and Education (DAPE) lectures during the first day of the two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) held at the Maconacon Training Center, Brgy. Fely, Maconacon, Isabela.
The activity gathered participants from various sectors in the municipality, organized by virtue of an Executive Order issued by the Local Chief Executive (LCE), aimed at strengthening local anti-drug advocacy and capacity-building initiatives.
Later in the afternoon, at around 4:00 PM, same personnel also conducted DAPE lectures for barangay officials and fisherfolk of Brgy. Minanga, Maconacon, Isabela. A Coast Watch awareness lecture was likewise incorporated into the activity to promote coastal security and vigilance.
Present during the activity were personnel from Maconacon MPS, the Philippine Coast Guard, barangay officials, and members of the Minanga fisherfolk community.
These initiatives underscore PDEA’s continued commitment to intensifying community-based education, enhancing inter-agency collaboration, and empowering stakeholders in the collective fight against illegal drugs and other threats to public safety.
