NOVEMBER 11, 2025- The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by MSWD Officer Rosemin B. Catubig, RSW, MSSW and the Local Government Unit of Tupi led by our beloved Municipal Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo.

As part of the ongoing implementation of the Pag-abot Program, a case conference was facilitated with the beneficiary from Barangay Acmonan and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The conference focused on assessing the beneficiary’s condition, validating information, and aligning interventions to ensure comprehensive support. Through coordinated action and shared responsibility, the program continues to strengthen its delivery of services, prioritizing the safety, welfare, and empowerment of individuals in need.

This process ensures that the program’s support is properly directed to households that need it most, helping advance the government’s commitment to reducing hunger and promoting sustainable food security at the grassroots level.

The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) successfully facilitated the release of Product Diversification and Development Grants to SLP referrals and walk-in clients. This initiative aims to support beneficiaries in enhancing their livelihood activities, expanding product offerings, and strengthening their capacity to generate sustainable income. Through these grants, the program continues to promote economic empowerment, resilience, and self-sufficiency among individuals and families in the community.

Attendance to 2-day Sectoral Referral Pathway Manual of Operation and Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Material Review Workshop by Save the Children, Philippines held at Venue 88 Hotel and Events Place last August 28-29, 2025.

The purpose of this workshop is to strengthen the referral system and communication tools for child protection and welfare, so that services are more effective, coordinated, and child friendly in preparation for the future Integrated Information Service Delivery Network (IISDN) Hub in the Municipality of Tupi.

The MSWDO headed by our MSWD Officer Rosemin B. Catubig, RSW, MSSW and the Municipal Government Unit of Tupi under the leadership of our beloved Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo, successfully conducted the 1st Kasalan ng Bayan last September 8, 2025 at Tupi Municipal Gymnasium, Municipal Compound, Poblacion, Tupi South Cotabato.
A total of 41 couples were officially united in marriage, with our Honorable Municipal Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo of Tupi, serving as the Presiding Officer.

As part of the activity, the PMOC team facilitated the Pre Marriage Orientation and Counseling to prepare the couples for their new journey as husband and wife, emphasizing family values, responsible parenthood, and the importance of commitment. The event not only formalized the couples’ unions but also highlighted the Local Government Unit’s support in promoting strong families and communities.
Furthermore, the MSWDO Tupi together with the Local Population Officer Rizelle T. Santos together with the PMC Councilor Ma'am Cecelia G. Nolasco and the rest of the PMOC team conducted Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling for the 3rd quarter to the 158 couples from Tupi and different Municipality in South Cotabato.
