The Municipality of Maasin proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of our Maasinanon athletes who represented Western Visayas at the Palarong Pambansa 2026 in Agusan del Sur and brought home an impressive total of five (5) medals.

Ang tuyo sang sini nga aktibidad amo nga mapalapit ang serbisyo sang gobyerno sa mga pumuluyo, labi na nga subong mas accessible na ang dalan pakadto sa lugar kag isa ini sa pinakamalayo nga barangay sang banwa.

Nagdala kita sang nagkalain-lain nga libre nga serbisyo pareho sang Free Medical Consultation, Free Circumcision, Free Haircut, kag mga serbisyo halin sa Department of Agriculture, MSWDO, Local Civil Registrar, kag Treasurer’s Office. Dako gid nga bulig ini para sa mga residente sang komunidad.

Yesterday, we succesfully launched the Proteksyon Para sa Altapresyon program held at the Maasin Central Elementary School Gymnasium, a meaningful initiative focused on the prevention, awareness, and proper care against high blood pressure by providing free health services to the Maasinanon.

Our launching event was graced by distinguished guests and health officials namely Dr. Maria Socorro Quiñon, Provincial Health Officer II; Dr. Ma. Maila Bernabe, Development Management Officer V; Dr. Eunyong Ko from the World Health Organization Western Pacific Region; Dr. Helen Tobias, DOH Western Visayas Regional Director; and Dr. Mary Ann P. Maestral, DOH Undersecretary for the UHC Health Services Cluster Area III – Visayas.

We also conducted a site visit to the newly constructed Super Health Center and the ongoing construction of the Infirmary Hospital, reflecting the municipality’s commitment to improving accessible and quality healthcare services for every Maasinanon.
