Successfully concluded the 1st Semester Barangay Assembly Day of Barangay 08 Poblacion, Can-avid, Eastern Samar last March 21, 2026.

With the theme: “Nagkakaisang Barangay tungo sa Kalinisan, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” the assembly highlighted the State of the Barangay Address and important updates for the community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest, Sir Gerry Orale Amoyan of MENRO, and to all residents who actively participated and showed their support. Your involvement is a testament to our shared commitment to progress and unity.

Together, let us continue working hand in hand towards a cleaner, more peaceful, and progressive Barangay 08.

The Barangay 2nd Assembly Day was successfully conducted with the theme,“Araw ng Pakikibahagi: Solusyon at Aksyon Ating Talakayin ngayong Barangay Assembly Day!”

The activity served as a venue for residents to raise their concerns, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions that promote transparency, participation, and community development.

The barangay extends its sincere appreciation to all residents, officials, and guests who actively participated and contributed to the success of the event—especially to Canavid Pulis , Mdrrmo Can-avid , the Civil Society Organization, Sir Gerry Orale Amoyan , and Hon. Sylvia C. Balagapo for their valuable presence and support.

Together, we continue to move forward with unity, commitment, and action toward a more progressive barangay.

Barangay 08, Poblacion, Can-avid Eastern Samar has awarded by "Certificate of Completion", completed a Four (4) day RDANA TRAINING headed by Madam Ivy Q. Caspe of MDRRMO Can-avid held at Hotel Arriana,Can-avid Eastern Samar which was participated by the different personnel from our LGU sush as Brgy Secretaries, CSO's, School DRR Coordinators, and MDRRMC members. On behalf of Sangguniang Barangay Members of Poblacion Otso, we would like to thank Mayor Vilma Aseo Germino (Municipal Mayor) for her unwavering support. And also to the resource person ma'am Cherelyn "Pie" Lubang ,JD (Civil Defense Ass.
