Isang pagpupugay sa mga tatay na yumao na. 🙏

Tay, hindi kita malilimutan. Hindi ko kayang kalimutan ang mga masasaya at malulungkot na ala-ala na kasama kita. Hindi ko kayang kalimutan ang pagtataguyod mo sa ating pamilya. Hindi ko kayang kalimutan ang mga pagkakataong hindi mo ako iniwan sa panahong ako'y dapang-dapa dahil sa mga maling desisyon ko sa buhay. Hindi ko kayang kalimutan ang mga pangaral mo upang ako'y maging mabuting tao.

Hindi ko rin kayang kalimutan ang maka-ilang beses na tayo'y nagtalo, nagkasamaan ng loob at hindi nag-usap. Pinagsisisihan ko ang mga ito at nanaising balikan para aking maitama. Hinding-hindi ko rin kayang kalimutan ang mga pagkakataon na pinagtanggol mo ako laban sa mga taong masama ang hangarin sa akin. Hindi ko kayang kalimutan ang mga pagtatakip na ginawa mo sa akin para hindi ako pagalitan ng husto ni nanay. Tay, nangungulila ako sa pagkalinga mo. Hanggang sa muli nating pagkikita!

AUGUST 31 | THE FEAST DAY OF ST. JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA

Joseph of Arimathea recovered the body of Jesus after his crucifixion, prepared the remains, and then laid him in a tomb.

According to Matthew (27:58), Joseph “begged the body of Jesus” from Pontius Pilate, the Roman prefect of Judaea who presided over the trial of Jesus and ordered his crucifixion.

Pilate then commanded delivery of the body to Joseph, who then — either by himself or with the help of Nicodemus (the latter according to John 19:39) — anointed the body of Jesus with “a mixture of myrrh and aloes” before wrapping it in clean linen cloth.

Finally, according to Matthew 27:60, Joseph laid the body “in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.”
