𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗥𝗨𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗬 | Magsasagawa ang Public Employment Service Office (PESO)–Virac ng recruitment orientation at manpower pooling activity ng Tekskil Manpower and Construction Corporation sa darating na Setyembre 7-9, 2026, mula 8:00AM hanggang 3:00PM, sa PESO, Virac Municipal Building, Virac, Catanduanes.

Bukas ang recruitment activity sa mga kwalipikadong aplikanteng nais magtrabaho sa Singapore, Hong Kong, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, at Saudi Arabia.

Kabilang sa mga bakanteng posisyon ang household workers, nannies, cooks, service crew, crane operators, rigger operators, quality control civil inspectors, at quality control supervisors.

Hinihikayat ang mga interesadong aplikante na personal na dumalo sa orientation upang malaman ang mga kwalipikasyon, documentary requirements, proseso ng aplikasyon, kondisyon ng trabaho, at mga available na job order.

𝗩𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | More than 100 youth leaders and representatives from various sectors participated in the Orientation for Child and Youth Gatekeepers on Mental Health and Su***de Prevention on September 1, 2026 at Queen Maricel Inn, Virac.

The activity, conducted by the Department of Health Bicol CHD in partnership with the LGU Virac-Municipal Health Office, focused on mental health literacy, su***de prevention, and mental health first aid.

The activity also saw the election of the first-ever Virac Youth Gatekeepers officers, establishing a youth-led network that will promote mental health awareness, encourage early help-seeking, and connect peers to appropriate support.

The initiative strengthens Virac’s community-based approach to mental health by equipping young people to become informed and proactive advocates for well-being and su***de prevention.

Pwede ining maglala hanggang sa pagdugo nin tulak, gilagid o iba pang parte nin ginhawa kung dai maagapan, pwede ining makagadan.

Kayang mapreventeran ang helang na ini sa paagi nin 4S strategy:

1. SEARCH AND DESTROY - Hanapon sa laog asin luwas kan harong an pinamumugaran nin mga kiti-kiti asin uyagon (sabonon kun kinakaipuhan)
2. SEEK EARLY CONSULTATION - Magpakonsulta sa satong RHU o ospital makalipas ang 24 oras puon sa pagkalintura para ma-dengue test asin ma monitor an platelets.
3. SELF-PROTECTION - Mag-gamit nin insect repellant lotion, long sleeves, jogging pants o musketero.
4. SAY YES TO MISTING IF ONLY NEEDED - Kaipuhan na aprubado ning Municipal Health Office ag pag gamit nin misting asin nin pesticides.

🏥 Magpakonsulta agad kung may lagnat nang dalawang (2) araw o higit pa.

4. SUPPORT FOGGING OR SPRAYING
🚫 Makilahok sa fogging o spraying lamang kapag may outbreak at ayon sa payo ng health authorities.

1. LINISIN – Alisin at linisin ang mga lalagyan ng tubig nang regular.

The Local Government of Virac joined the nation in commemorating National Heroes Day on Monday, August 31, with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Virac Plaza Rizal, joined by government officials and law enforcers.

In his message, Virac Mayor Sinforoso M. Sarmiento Jr. emphasized that in modern times, one no longer needs to shed blood or sacrifice one’s life to become a hero.

He said that modern-day heroism means having genuine concern for the country, serving with integrity and dedication, resisting greed, and working together toward a compassionate and united community.

As we remember the heroes, may their legacy inspire every Filipino to uphold the values of patriotism, public service, unity, and love of country.

𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 | Youth participants from Buyo Integrated School took part in Kabayanix 2.0, a youth-focused learning and development activity held as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan Celebration.

The activity provided the participants with a diverse range of learning experiences designed to strengthen their practical skills, leadership capabilities, awareness, and preparedness as young members of the community.

Among the training sessions and workshops conducted were Crochet and Welding Training, Leadership Training, Public Speaking Workshop, and Parliamentary Procedure Training, giving the participants opportunities to develop both technical and leadership skills.

The youth also participated in sessions on Mental Health Awareness, Digital Awareness, Legal Protection, and Digital Literacy, equipping them with essential knowledge to navigate personal, social, and digital spaces responsibly and confidently.

Complementing these learning sessions were the Spirituality Youth Encounter, School Garden Creation, and First Aid Kit and Basic Life Support Training, which highlighted the importance of values formation, environmental responsibility, community involvement, and emergency preparedness.

The Local Youth Development Office and Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation hope to encourage the youth not just o acquire new knowledge and practical skills but also to become more confident, responsible, and engaged members of their community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speakers, partner NGAs, civil society organizations, and the Barangay Council of Buyo for the successful run of Kabayanix 2.0.
