๐ฟ๐ผ๐ 1 ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฉ 1 | Hope, compassion, and action came together in full force as the NSTP-LTS trainees of BSN 1A and BSN 1B embarked on their first day of community immersion last May 10, 2025, at Barangay Palta Salvacion, Virac, Catanduanes. Guided by the theme ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ผ-๐๐๐๐ผ๐๐ผ: ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ช๐ข๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ค ๐จ๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐ช๐๐๐ฎ, the initiative aimed not only to address physical needs but to spark hope, build bonds, and uplift spirits in lasting and meaningful ways.
This immersive experience was marked by a range of purposeful activities, including health teaching, a feeding program, gift-giving, distribution of hygiene kits, brochure-giving and posting of basic health reminders. These efforts were carried out with the sincere intention of promoting well-being, imparting knowledge, and nurturing a sense of community among the residents, especially the children, whose laughter and bright smiles became the true highlights of the day.
We are profoundly grateful to Maโam Nanette Ramirez for her dedicated mentorship, to the hardworking Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and to Sir Mark Kenneth T. Miguel for their support and coordination. We also sincerely thank the parents, whose cooperation and warm welcome allowed for meaningful interactions, and most especially, the children, whose joyful participation gave life to every part of the program.
A special acknowledgment is also extended to the Red Cross Volunteers, who stood by us from beginning to end, providing invaluable assistance that ensured the smooth, safe, and successful implementation of the dayโs activities.
Through this initiative, we are reminded that kindnessโno matter how simpleโcan serve as a beacon of hope. When hearts come together in the spirit of service, even the smallest gestures can create ripples of positive change.
