Every child deserves a place to belong, a home filled with warmth, and a family to call their own.โค๏ธ

On September 9, 2026, the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) IX conducted an Entrustment Activity for two children who were matched under Local Matching. This was followed by another successful entrustment activity on September 15, 2026, for a 2-year-old child matched under Inter-Regional Matching.

These moments represent new beginnings, renewed hope, and the opportunity for children to grow in a safe, loving, and nurturing family environment. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฉท

Behind every successful entrustment is a collective effort anchored in one shared commitment: to uphold the best interests of every child and ensure their right to grow in an environment where they are loved, protected, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive. ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒˆ

The RSCC-IX successfully conducted its 3rd Quarter Staff Development Activity on August 20, 2026, with the theme, โ€œUnderstanding Trauma Among Children, Strengthening Care, and Nurturing Staff Well-Being.โ€

The activity was enriched by the valuable insights of our invited resource speaker, Mr. Rolf Marcus Villano, Psychologist II from ZCMC, with the presence and support of Dr. Shara Jane Dawami, MD, and Ms. Connie J. Amalul, Regional Center Coordinator/Center Head of RSCC.

The session provided the staff with a deeper understanding of how trauma can affect childrenโ€™s emotions, behavior, relationships, and overall development. It also highlighted the importance of trauma-informed care, enabling staff to respond to children with greater patience, empathy, sensitivity, and understanding, particularly those who have experienced abuse, neglect, abandonment, or other difficult life experiences.

Through activities such as this, RSCC IX continues to invest in its most valuable resourceโ€”its people. When staff are equipped, supported, and emotionally well, they are better able to provide safe, compassionate, and nurturing care to the children entrusted to their protection and care.โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒฟ Nutrition Month 2026 | "Nutrition at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan"

In celebration of Nutrition Month 2026, the Reception and Study Center for Children successfully conducted a series of meaningful and enjoyable activities in support of this year's theme, "Nutrition at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan."

The celebration began with an energizing Zumba Dance, promoting the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle. A Budget Cook-Up Challenge highlighted how nutritious, affordable, and locally available ingredients can be transformed into healthy meals, encouraging sustainable food choices that benefit both people and the environment. The children also showcased their creativity through the Nutrition Headdress Competition, where they displayed colorful headdresses inspired by fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious foods found in nature. On the culminating day, the group presented their Nutrition Corner set up, providing educational materials that encourage healthy eating habits and appreciation for our natural resources.

These activities reminded everyone that proper nutrition and by making healthy food choices, reducing food waste, and valuing the gifts of nature, we contribute to the well-being of every child while helping protect the environment for future generations.

A 9-year-oldโ€™s journey to forever starts today! ๐ŸŽ’โค๏ธ

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child walk out of our doors holding the hands of his forever family. ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒˆ

Today, we celebrate a milestone moment at the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) as one of our bright, 9-year-old boy officially begins his journey with his adoptive family through local adoption. This milestone means so much to everyone involved: for RSCC, it is the fulfillment of our mission to nurture and prepare every child for their forever home; for the child, it is the start of a new life filled with love and belonging; and for the adoptive parents, it is the beautiful realization of their dream of family.

This success story is a direct reflection of RSCCโ€™s unwavering commitment to the children in our care. Our programs and services are designed to ensure that no child is left behind, serving as a bridge of hope, healing, and preparation that leads them to the permanent, loving homes they truly deserve. ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿฉตโค๏ธ

After spending nearly his entire childhood at the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC), one little boy's greatest wish has finally come trueโ€”he now has a family to call his own.

During his entrustment ceremony, his heartfelt words moved everyone to tears:

("Thank you for accepting me without hesitation, even though I am already nine years old.")

His journey is a powerful reminder that love knows no age and that every child deserves the warmth, security, and belonging of a family.

Today, we celebrate not just a successful adoption, but the beginning of a lifetime of love, hope, and new memories.
