The training’s primary goal is to reiterate the implementstion of solid waste management to minimize and eliminate the harmful effects of waste on human health and the environment. This is achieved through methods that ensure public safety, environmental protection, resource recovery, and the proper disposal of waste materials.
Serving as resource speakers during the activity were Ms. Emma Alipala, Environmental Management Specialist II and Engr. Grace Ivory Torralba, Senior Environmental Management Specialist, who shared their expertise on sustainable waste management practices, environmental protection, and operational strategies for effective waste handling.
