Eid al-Adha is celebrated in remembrance of the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him). On this blessed occasion, Muslims commemorate the great sacrifice of Khalilullah Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and remember the obedience and devotion of Zabihullah Prophet Ismail (Ishmael, peace be upon him). It also reminds us of the lesson of sacrificing ourselves for the pleasure of Allah Almighty.
Regarding Eid and sacrifice, Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur’an:
“And for every nation We have appointed rites of sacrifice so that they may mention the name of Allah over the livestock He has provided for them. So your God is One God; therefore submit yourselves to Him. And give good news to the humble.”
(Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 34)
On this blessed occasion, we pray that Allah Almighty grants unity, brotherhood, and harmony to the Muslim Ummah. May He protect the oppressed Muslims of Gaza, Palestine, and Kashmir, grant them freedom, peace, justice, and ease all their hardships.
May Allah Almighty bless Pakistan with peace, prosperity, stability, and progress, and keep it safe from every evil and enemy.
Eid al-Adha Mubarak to you and your family from the bottom of our hearts.
May Allah Almighty accept our sacrifices and prayers. Ameen.
