The Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, organized an awareness walk, poster competition, and tree plantation campaign to commemorate World Environment Day 2026 under the global theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” The event was held under the guidance of Director Institute of Agro-Industry and Environment, Dr. Ghulam Hassan Abbasi, and Dean Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, Professor Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi. Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran emphasized that environmental protection and climate resilience are collective responsibilities. He stated that universities must play a leading role in promoting environmental awareness, sustainable practices, and nature-based solutions to address climate challenges. He urged students and faculty members to actively contribute to a greener and healthier future through tree plantation and environmentally responsible behavior. The activities reflected the University's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ انوائرمنٹ اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں عالمی یوم ماحولیات 2026 کی مناسبت سے ایک آگاہی واک پوسٹر مقابلہ اور شجر کاری مہم کا انعقاد کیا جس کا عالمی تھیم "فطرت سے متاثر، آب و ہوا کے لیے، ہمارے مستقبل کے لیے" تھا۔ یہ تقریب ڈائریکٹر انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ایگرو انڈسٹری اینڈ انوائرمنٹ ڈاکٹر غلام حسن عباسی اور ڈین فیکلٹی آف ایگریکلچر اینڈ انوائرمنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر تنویر حسین ترابی کی رہنمائی میں منعقد ہوئی۔ شرکاء سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ماحولیاتی تحفظ اور موسمیاتی تبدیلی سے آگاہی اجتماعی ذمہ داریاں ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ یونیورسٹیوں کو ماحولیاتی آگاہی، پائیدار طریقوں اور موسمیاتی چیلنجوں سے نمٹنے کے لیے فطرت پر مبنی حل کو فروغ دینے میں اہم کردار ادا کرنا چاہیے۔ انہوں نے طلباء اور فیکلٹی ممبران پر زور دیا کہ وہ درخت لگانے اور ماحولیاتی ذمہ دارانہ رویے کے ذریعے سرسبز اور صحت مند مستقبل کے لیے فعال کردار ادا کریں۔ یہ سرگرمیاں یونیورسٹی کی ماحولیاتی ذمہ داری اور پائیدار ترقی کے عزم کی عکاسی کرتی ہیں۔

An International Research Project entitled “Enhancing Climate Resilience in South Asia and China that was approved by Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN)'s and details can be found from the link https://www.apn-gcr.org/project/enhancing-climate-resilience-in-south-asia-predicting-precipitation-shifts-and-their-impacts-for-disaster-risk-reduction-and-resource-security/. The bi-monthly meeting held to share the project updates till now in this international project by each collaborator/country. The “Pakistan Team (Ms Zeba Gul, Mr Jaam Rehmatullah and Prof. Dr. Wajid Nasim Jatoi)” present the work done up-till-now and representatives of “Small Earth Nepal” Team highly acknowledge & appreciate the progress by Pakistan Team. Furthermore, in coming weeks International Center for Climate Change, Food Security & Sustainability (ICCFS), IUB-Pakistan will conduct/host the capacity building training/workshop for “Climate Modeling Training” to the students, faculty members of locality (especially IUB) under the supervision of Pakistan Team along International Trainers at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB), Pakistan. This training/workshop will be part of capacity building component of this International Research Project & the mater trainers (Pakistan Team) already taken this training (physically) from Nepal, few months ago (sponsored by this APN-International Research Project).

شعبۂ پاکستان اسٹڈیز، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور میں چار ایم فل اسکالرز کے مقالہ جات کے کامیاب دفاع کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ اسکالرز میں آمنہ تبسم (زیرِ نگرانیڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین)، نظام الدین (زیرِ نگرانی ڈاکٹر عمران علی)، علی مراد (زیرِ نگرانی ڈاکٹر عمران علی) اور ثناء اسماعیل (زیرِ نگرانی ڈاکٹر احسن غزالی) شامل تھے، جنہوں نے اپنے تحقیقی مقالہ جات کا کامیابی سے دفاع کیا۔اس موقع پر صادق ایجرٹن کالج بہاولپور کے شعبہ تاریخ کی سربراہ ڈاکٹر عشرت نورین نے بطور بیرونی ممتحن (External Examiner) شرکت کی اور اسکالرز کے تحقیقی کام کا تفصیلی جائزہ لیا۔ انہوں نے تحقیق کے معیار کو سراہتے ہوئے طلبہ کو مفید علمی و تحقیقی تجاویز بھی پیش کیں۔تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے چیئرپرسن شعبۂ پاکستان ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین نے تمام کامیاب اسکالرز کو ایم فل مقالہ جات کے کامیاب دفاع پر مبارکباد پیش کی۔ انہوں نے طلبہ کی محنت، لگن اور علمی کاوشوں کو سراہتے ہوئے اس امید کا اظہار کیا کہ وہ مستقبل میں بھی تحقیق و علم کے میدان میں نمایاں خدمات انجام دیں گے۔ڈاکٹر روبینہ یاسمین نے بیرونی ممتحن ڈاکٹر عشرت نورین کا خصوصی شکریہ ادا کیا اور تحقیقی معیار کو برقرار رکھنے اور اس علمی سرگرمی میں ان کی قیمتی خدمات کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا۔ آخر میں شعبۂ پاکستان اسٹڈیز کی جانب سے تمام کامیاب اسکالرز کے لیے مستقبل کی علمی و پیشہ ورانہ کامیابیوں کے لیے نیک تمناؤں کا اظہار کیا گیا۔

Interfaith Harmony Among Young Generation & Oath Taking Ceremony

The Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Society successfully organized an inspiring event on “Interfaith Harmony Among Young Generation” along with the Oath Taking Ceremony. The event brought together respected scholars from different religions who shared meaningful messages of peace, unity, tolerance, and coexistence.

Fr. Irfan Christ OP represented the Christian community and emphasized the importance of love, compassion, and humanity in building a peaceful society.

Baba Tirath Nath Ji Maharaj represented the Hindu community and spoke about peace, kindness, and acceptance among all human beings.

Dr. Muhammad Khubaib, Associate Professor Department of world Religions and interfaith harmony and representative of the Muslim community, shared Islamic teachings about peace, brotherhood, and interfaith respect.

Mubeen Shiraz represented the Baha'i community and discussed the importance of unity, equality, and collective peace for a better future.

The event was further honored by the valuable remarks of respected advisor Associate Professor Dr Muhammed Khubaib and co-advisors, Mis Syeda Qurtal-ul-lain, Mr Hassan Mehmood, Mr. Muhammad Adnan Aziz and Mr.Muhammad Mohsin Raza who encouraged students to become ambassadors of peace and positive social change.

The President of the Society, Arun Kagra, delivered the welcome speech and warmly welcomed all honorable guests, faculty members, and participants.

The ceremony also included the official oath taking of the newly appointed cabinet members, marking the beginning of their journey of leadership, responsibility, and service.

آئی یو بی قرأت ونعت سوسائٹى، ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سٹوڈنٹس افیئرز، دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاول پور کے زیر اہتمام پرائم منسٹر یوتھ ڈویلپمنٹ سنٹر، بغداد الجدید کیمپس، دی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی آف بہاولپور میں سیمینار بعنوان "ماہ ذی الحج کی فضیلت و فلسفہ قربانی" کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ جو زیر سرپرستی عزت مآب انجینئر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد کامران صاحب، زیر نگرانی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر عبد الرؤف صاحب، زیر انتظام ڈاکٹر عدنان بخاری صاحب اور زیر اھتمام ڈاکٹر شبانہ نذر صاحبہ منعقد ہوا ۔ اس کی صدارت ڈاکٹر عدنان بخاری صاحب، ایڈیشنل ڈائریکٹر اسٹوڈنٹس سوسائٹیز نے فرمائی، مہمان مقرر ڈاکٹر ابرار محی الدین صاحب سابق استاد شعبہ علوم اسلامیہ تھے۔ اس سیمینار میں ڈاکٹر صدیقہ طاہرہ ، ڈاکٹر زاھد محمود اور دیگر معزز اساتذہ کرام نے خصوصی شرکت کی۔
پروگرام کا آغاز تلاوت قرآن حکیم اور نعت رسول مقبولﷺ سے کیا گیا۔ خطبہ استقبالیہ ڈاکٹر شبانہ نذر، ایڈوائزر آئی یو بی قرأت ونعت سوسائٹی نے پیش کیا۔ تقریب میں تشریف لانے والے معزز مہمانان گرامی، اساتذہ اور طلبا و طالبات کو خوش آمدید کہا اور تمام سامعین کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ نیز ماہ ذوالحج کی فضیلت و اھمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ ماہ ذی الحج میں اللہ کی رحمتوں اور برکتوں کے نازل ہونے کی جگہ میں حاضری دینا اور اس عظیم الشان قربانی کی روح کو زندہ کرنا، ابراہیم علیہ السلام و اسماعیل علیہ السلام کی اتباع کرتے ہوئے حکم الہی کے سامنے تسلیم ورضا، فرمانبرداری اور اطاعت کے ساتھ اپنا سر جھکا دینا ہی اس کا فلسفہ ہے
مہمان مقرر ڈاکٹر ابرار محی الدین صاحب نے اپنے خصوصی خطاب میں فرمایا کہ اسلام صرف ایک موروثی شناخت نہیں بلکہ ایک شعوری طرزِ زندگی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حقیقی مسلمان وہ ہے جو اسلام کو سمجھ کر قبول کرے اور اپنی زندگی کو اللہ تعالیٰ اور رسولِ اکرم ﷺ کی تعلیمات کے مطابق گزارے۔
انہوں نے مزید فرمایا کہ تعلیم کا اصل مقصد صرف ڈگری حاصل کرنا نہیں بلکہ انسان کے اندر یہ شعور پیدا کرنا ہے کہ ’’میں کیا ہوں، کیوں ہوں اور مجھے کیسا ہونا چاہیے‘‘ جیسے سوالات پر غور کرے۔ ان کے مطابق ماہِ ذی الحج قربانی، تقویٰ، صبر، اخلاص اور کردار سازی کا درس دیتا ہے، جبکہ عبادات انسان کی شخصیت اور کردار کی تعمیر کا ذریعہ بنتی ہیں۔
ڈاکٹر محمد عدنان بخاری صاحب نے اپنے خطاب میں قرأت و نعت سوسائٹی کی خدمات کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ سوسائٹی نوجوانوں کی دینی، اخلاقی اور تخلیقی صلاحیتوں کو نکھارنے کے لیے بہترین پلیٹ فارم فراہم کر رہی ہے، جہاں طلبہ محبتِ رسول ﷺ اور پیغامِ اسلام کو اپنے کردار اور آواز کے ذریعے عام کر رہے ہیں۔
تقریب میں سوسائٹی ممبران سے نخبی ابراہیم خان نے نظامت کے فرائض انجام دیئے۔ تلاوت کلام پاک کی سعادت میمونہ خلیل اور نعت رسول مقبول کی سعادت ماریہ نے حاصل کی۔ اس تقریب کو اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور کے مختلف شعبہ جات کے نہ صرف طلباء و طالبات بلکہ معزز فیکلٹی ممبران نے بھی رونق بخشی۔ ڈاکٹر شبانہ نذر صاحبہ نے تقریب میں آنے والے مہمان اساتذہ كرام اور طلباء و طالبات کا تہہ دل سے شکریہ ادا کیا۔ مسلم امہ کے لیے دعا کے ساتھ سیمینار کا اختتام ہوا۔
