Pakistan Engineering Council has agreed to establish Pathway to Practice Office at the Islamia University Bahawalpur on the proposal of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran. The objective of this initiative is to assist engineers from South Punjab to meet professional practice and licensing requirements in Pakistan. A consensus on this matter was reached in a recent meeting held in Islamabad between Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor the Islamia University Bahawalpur and Engineer Dr. Waseem Nazir, Chairman of Pakistan Engineering Council. Pakistan Engineering Council's Pathway to Practice program is designed for engineers who aspire to become professional engineers. The program defines relevant work experience continuous professional development and professional assessment standards that enable engineers to be registered and practice independently. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council Engineer Dr. Waseem Nazir said that the establishment of an office in Islamia University Bahawalpur will extend the services of Pakistan Engineering Council to the engineers of South Punjab and further strengthen industry and academia cooperation. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice-Chancellor the Islamia University, Bahawalpur expressed his gratitude for this initiative and said that this office will provide support and guidance to the graduating and practicing engineers of the area in achieving professional recognition.
