The Right to Public Services Commission heard fifteen public complaints regarding delays in government services and took action against concerned departments.
Chief Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shahzada and Commissioner Zakir Hussain Afridi reviewed citizens’ applications during the hearing. A show cause notice was issued to the Director General Excise over delays in vehicle registration despite earlier commission orders.
In another case, an FIR was registered following commission directives, while a citizen from Bannu received an arms license after intervention by the commission.
The commission also reviewed cases related to land demarcation, inheritance transfers, FIR registration, vehicle registration, and public record services, directing relevant authorities to resolve complaints without delay.
Officials were reminded that timely delivery of basic public services is a citizen’s right and negligence in service delivery would not be tolerated.
