Don’t underestimate your one bowl. In this heat, it might be the only water they find.
This summer, the ground is cracking. The sun shows no mercy. And our birds are suffering in silence.

This video tells the story of one sparrow — thirsty, desperate, searching across barren rooftops. But it’s also the story of _all_ of them. The pigeons. The mynas. The ones we don’t see.

The good news? You can change their story.

All it takes is one clay bowl. One jug of water. One handful of grains.

Place a bowl of water on your roof, balcony, or outside your window.
Refill it daily. Add some grains if you can.

As per direction of DFO Wildlife Dir,
"International Biodiversity Day" with the theme "Acting Locally for Global Impact" was observed today on 22nd May 2026 at Iqra School & College Chakdara to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation and protection of natural ecosystems.

Students and faculty members actively participated in the event. A briefed lecture was given highlighting the engagement of the local communities including students having a vital role in biodiversity conservation and their participatory efforts may contribute towards sustainable wildlife management.

On 27 April 2026, students of University of Malakand, visited Dir Wildlife Division to observe In-situ Conservation strategy implemented by the Division.
The students visited Adenzai Community Game Reserve where Range Officer Wildlife Adenzai along with Field staff briefed them about the Reserve and conducted practical exercises on the line transect method for Reptiles,Mammals by point count and flushing methods for Birds and Animals with specail focus on partridge species.
A quadrate method was also demonstrated for identifying plant species within randomly selected sample plots.
Moreover the stratafied and systematic sampling were also discussed while the student of Uni of Malakand identified the Animals,Birds and plants practically in the field.

تمام شکاری حضرات کے لیے اطلاع
تمام شکاری حضرات کو بذریعۂ یہ اطلاع عام مطلع کیا جاتا ہے کہ
چیف کنزرویٹر، وائلڈ لائف، خیبر پختونخوا کے آفس آرڈر نمبر 166 مورخہ 04۔02۔2026 کے مطابق صوبہ خیبر پختونخوا میں شکار سیزن 2025-26 کا آغاز 15 فروری 2026ء سے ہوگا اور یہ 15 مارچ 2026ء کو اختتام پذیر ہوگا۔

مذکورہ آفس آرڈر کی روشنی میں تمام شکاری حضرات پر درج ذیل ہدایات لازم الاجراء ہوں گی:

1. شکار صرف ہفتے میں دو دن یعنی ہفتہ اور اتوار کو اجازت شدہ ہوگا۔

2. شکار کے لیے باقاعدہ شوٹنگ لائسنس کا حامل ہونا ضروری ہے، جس کی مقررہ فیس پانچ ہزار (5,000) روپے ہے۔

3. ایک دن میں زیادہ سے زیادہ بیگ لمٹ پانچ (05) پرندے ہوگی۔ مقررہ حد سے تجاوز کی صورت میں آفس آرڈر کے مطابق قانونی کارروائی کی جائے گی۔

4. الیکٹرانک آلات کے ذریعے شکار کرنا مکمل طور پر ممنوع ہے۔

5. مقررہ قواعد و ضوابط کی خلاف ورزی کی صورت میں متعلقہ قوانین کے تحت سخت قانونی کارروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔
تمام معزز شکاری حضرات سے پُرزور گزارش ہے کہ وہ حکومتی احکامات اور وائلڈ لائف قوانین کی سختی سے پابندی کریں اور محفوظ و پائیدار شکار کے فروغ کے لیے محکمہ وائلڈ لائف کے ساتھ بھرپور تعاون کریں۔
