On the directions of the Secretary, Tourism, Culture, Archaeology and Museums Department,
the Director General, Special Purpose Kalash Valleys Development Authority (SP KVDA), Mr. Fida Ul Karim, convened a meeting at the Authority’s office regarding the implementation of the Kalash Valleys Habitat Plan.
The meeting was attended by Director Technical Mr. Nasir Ali, GIS Analyst Mr. Anwar Ahmed, Administrative Consultant Mr. Zahir Shah, and Sub-Engineer Mr. Taseer Sharif. During the session, participants reviewed the key components, priorities, and implementation framework of the Habitat Plan in detail.
A thorough brainstorming discussion was held to explore institutional, technical, and administrative mechanisms required for the effective enforcement and phased implementation of the Plan. The participants deliberated on long-term strategies aimed at translating the Habitat Plan into actionable interventions over the next twenty years, ensuring sustainable development, cultural preservation, environmental protection, disaster resilience, and responsible tourism management across the Kalash Valleys.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on the need for a structured implementation roadmap, inter-agency coordination, community engagement, and periodic monitoring mechanisms to achieve the objectives envisaged under the Habitat Plan.
