Many questions have been talk of the town regarding the Women's fate in Afghanistan amid Tal!bans' gaining control of most part of the country. International Media is also propagating the conservative side of the Tal!ban over their approach towards Women Empowerment through education and professional life.
Afghan Tal!ban Spokesperson Suhail Shaheen while giving interview to the Pakistan media, has rebuffed the claims and said "Women and Girls will be allowed to go to schools and get the knowledge of Science and Religion. Moreover, they can also carry on with their proffessional life as well."
He said: "The Afghanistan's district which have come under our control are functional as far as schools, collages and universities are concerns. Women are studying there and we didn't bare them to get the education. But according to the Islamic values and principles, they must carry their veil [Pardah] alongside with them as this is the Islamic country."
Progressive approach has shown by the Tal!bans, not barring women for education or job but the only condition they put forth before women is 'Hijab'. Fair enough? Your views
