On the direction of Conservator Hazara Wildlife Circle, Haripur Wildlife Division celebrated World Pangolin Day on 21st February 2026 at Government Higher Secondary School No. 2 Haripur. A special awareness lecture was delivered by SDWO Haripur, Muhammad Abu Bakar, on the ecology of Indian pangolin, its ecological importance, and their vital role in maintaining ecosystem balance. Students were also informed about the major threats faced by this unique species, including illegal wildlife trade, habitat loss, and human disturbance.
