THE IRON LADY.

December 27th is
one of the darkest days in Pakistan's political history. On this day in 2007, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto—the nation's most popular and charismatic leader—was assassinated in a terrorist attack in Rawalpindi.

She was the first Muslim woman Prime Minister, elected twice to lead Pakistan. A true democratic leader, she envisioned genuine democracy, rule of law, and civilian supremacy.
Shaheed Benazir dedicated her life to making Pakistan a progressive state free from extremism, terrorism, and discrimination. She championed women's and minority rights, initiating projects for women's empowerment, education, and healthcare in remote areas.

She and her party endured immense hardships—imprisonment in false cases, exile, and struggles against military dictators—yet she remained steadfast in her principles.
Her brave challenge against terrorism ultimately cost her life. Despite threats and attempts on her life, she never compromised her democratic ideals.

The nation deeply values her sacrifices. Every year on her death anniversary, tributes are paid at the Bhutto family mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, Larkana, and across the country.

Long live Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Heaven.

27 دسمبر پاکستان کی سیاسی تاریخ کا ایک انتہائی سیاہ دن ہے۔ اس دن 2007 میں شہید محترمہ بینظیر بھٹو — قوم کی سب سے مقبول اور کرشماتی لیڈر — راولپنڈی میں ایک دہشت گرد حملے میں شہید ہو گئیں۔
وہ عالم اسلام کی پہلی خاتون وزیراعظم تھیں، جنہیں دو بار پاکستان کی قیادت کے لیے منتخب کیا گیا۔ ایک حقیقی جمہوری لیڈر کے طور پر انہوں نے خالص جمہوریت، قانون کی حکمرانی اور شہری بالادستی کا خواب دیکھا۔
شہید بینظیر نے اپنی زندگی پاکستان کو ایک ترقی پسند ریاست بنانے کے لیے وقف کر دی، جو انتہا پسندی، دہشت گردی اور امتیاز سے پاک ہو۔ انہوں نے خواتین اور اقلیتوں کے حقوق کی چیمپیئن بنتے ہوئے دور دراز علاقوں میں خواتین کی بااختیاری، تعلیم اور صحت کے منصوبے شروع کیے۔
انہوں نے اور ان کی پارٹی نے بے پناہ مصیبتیں برداشت کیں — جھوٹے مقدمات میں قید، جلاوطنی اور فوجی آمروں کے خلاف جدوجہد — مگر وہ اپنے اصولوں پر ڈٹی رہیں۔
دہشت گردی کے خلاف ان کی بہادرانہ مزاحمت نے بالآخر ان کی جان لے لی۔ زندگی پر متعدد حملوں اور دھمکیوں کے باوجود انہوں نے کبھی اپنے جمہوری اصولوں سے سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا۔
قوم ان کی قربانیوں کی قدر کرتی ہے۔ ہر سال ان کی شہادت کی برسی پر بھٹو خاندان کے مزارِ خانوادگی گڑھی خدا بخش، لاڑکانہ اور ملک بھر میں خراج عقیدت پیش کیا جاتا ہے۔
شہید محترمہ بینظیر بھٹو جنت میں ہمیشہ زندہ رہیں...

‏جب کوئی چیز مفت ملے تو سمجھ لیں کہ اس کی قیمت ہمیں کہیں نہ کہیں ضرور چکانی پڑتی ہے
نوبل انعام یافتہ (امن 1984) ڈیسمنڈ ٹوٹو نے ایک بار کہا تھا : جب عیسائی مشنری افریقہ آئے تو ان کے پاس بائبل تھی اور ہمارے پاس زمین
انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم آپ کے لیے دعا کرنے آئے ہیں
ہم نے آنکھیں بند کر لیں
جب آنکھ کھلی تو ہمارے ہاتھ میں بائبل تھا ، اور ان کے ہاتھ میں ہماری زمین
بالکل اسی طرح جب سوشل نیٹ ورکنگ سائنس آئی ، تو ان کے پاس فیس بک اور واٹس ایپ تھے اور ہمارے پاس آزادی اور رازداری
انہوں نے کہا: یہ سب مفت ہے
ہم نے آنکھیں بند کر لیں
اور جب آنکھ کھلی تو ہمارے پاس فیس بک اور واٹس ایپ تھے ،،، اور ان کے پاس ہماری آزادی ، ہماری رازداری ، اور ہماری ذاتی معلومات
دنیا کا اصول سادہ ہے : جب کچھ مفت ملے تو اس کی اصل قیمت ہمیشہ آزادی، رازداری اور اختیار سے ادا کرنی پڑتی ہے

سندھی لوگ بہت
محبت کرنے والے، پیارے اور عاجز ہیں۔ وہ مذہبی رواداری اور سب کے ساتھ امن میں رہنے پر یقین رکھتے ہیں۔ ان کی ثقافت بہت امیر ہے اور تہذیب بہت پرانی ہے۔ وہ اس زمین کے اصلی بیٹے ہیں۔ اس برادری کے خلاف نفرت جو مہمان نوازی کے لیے مشہور ہے اور مذہبی، نسلی اور فرقہ وارانہ ہم آہنگی پر یقین رکھتی ہے، بالکل غلط ہے اور اس کی شدید مذمت کی جانی چاہیے۔
سندھ میں تمام برادریاں امن اور ہم آہنگی سے رہنا چاہتی ہیں۔ خود غرض اور موقع پرست سیاستدان اور وہ عناصر جو برادریوں کے درمیان نفرت پھیلاتے اور زہر گھولتے ہیں، انہیں بالکل مسترد کر دینا چاہیے۔

Sindhi people are very kind, loving, and humble. They believe in religious tolerance and living in peace with everyone. They have a rich culture and an ancient civilization. They are the original inhabitants of the land. Any hatred against this community, which is famous for its hospitality and belief in harmony among religions, ethnic groups, and sects, is completely wrong and should be strongly condemned.
All communities in Sindh want to live together in peace. Selfish and opportunist politicians and elements who spread hate and poison between communities should be completely rejected.

Day to my Sindhi brothers and sisters in every corner of the globe!

Today, Sindh and its indigenous people stand tall with pride, carrying one of the world’s oldest civilisations, a heritage of Moen-jo-Daro, the poetry of Shah Latif, and the timeless grace of Ajrak and Sindhi Topi.
Millions of Sindhis, joined by friends from every religion, language, and ethnicity, fill the streets worldwide, young and old, men and women, proudly draped in Ajrak and crowned with the Topi, spreading the eternal message of love, peace, and religious and ethnic harmony, exactly what our faith and our great Sufi saints taught us on this sacred soil.
This is our day. Let’s celebrate it with open hearts and boundless joy!

DG ISPR,
With utmost respect, I urge the security establishment to permanently shut down all political engineering and interference in elections. History shows that leaders propped up this way — Nawaz Sharif, Altaf Hussain, Imran Khan, and others — eventually become serious liabilities for the institution itself.
Pakistan faces grave internal and external threats. In these critical times, our armed forces must focus entirely on national security and defence, and stay completely away from politics.
Let democracy function freely. Allow the people of Pakistan to choose their leaders through fair and transparent elections without any management or interference.
This is in the best interest of both the institution and the country.

محترم ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر صاحب،
عاجزانہ گزارش ہے کہ سیاسی انجینئرنگ اور الیکشن میں مداخلت کا سلسلہ ہمیشہ کے لیے ختم کر دیا جائے۔ نواز شریف، الطاف حسین، عمران خان جیسے رہنما جنہیں ادارے نے سپورٹ کیا، آخر کار وہی ادارے کے لیے بڑا مسئلہ بن گئے۔
آج پاکستان شدید اندرونی و بیرونی خطرات سے دوچار ہے۔ ایسی حالت میں افواجِ پاکستان کا فرض ہے کہ وہ اپنی پوری توجہ صرف قومی دفاع و سلامتی پر دیں اور سیاست سے مکمل فاصلہ رکھیں۔
جمہوریت کو آزادانہ چلنے دیں اور عوام کو شفاف انتخابات کے ذریعے اپنے لیڈر خود چننے کا حق دیں۔
یہ ادارے اور ملک دونوں کے مفاد میں ہے۔

Toddler Ibrahim is not the only child who has lost his life after falling into an uncovered manhole in Karachi; hundreds of children across Pakistan have died due to these open manholes. Despite the fact that billions of rupees are allocated and released every year to the concerned departments for the regular maintenance and covering of manholes, no one seems to know where this colossal amount of money disappears. Shockingly, instead of decreasing, the incidents of children falling into open manholes are increasing alarmingly day by day in almost every city of the country. Yet, no official or authority has ever been held accountable or punished for this criminal negligence.

چھوٹا بچہ ابراہیم واحد بچہ نہیں جس نے کراچی میں کھلے مین ہول میں گر کر اپنی جان گنوائی؛ پاکستان بھر میں سینکڑوں بچے ان کھلے مین ہولز کی وجہ سے جان سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھے ہیں۔
ہر سال اربوں روپے متعلقہ محکموں کو مین ہولز کی باقاعدہ دیکھ بھال اور ڈھکنے کے لیے مختص اور جاری کیے جاتے ہیں، مگر حیرت کی بات ہے کہ یہ اتنی بھاری رقم کہاں غائب ہو جاتی ہے، کسی کو معلوم نہیں۔
حیران کن طور پر ان واقعات میں کمی کی بجائے ملک کے تقریباً ہر شہر میں بچوں کے کھلے مین ہولز میں گرنے کے واقعات دن بہ دن خطرناک حد تک بڑھ رہے ہیں، لیکن اس مجرمانہ غفلت کے ذمہ دار کسی افسر یا ادارے کو کبھی سزا نہیں دی گئی۔

Our greatest enemy is not some external person or circumstance, but the thoughts that constantly run in our minds. These thoughts never allow us to be at peace, trapping us in past regrets and future worries. This prevents us from living in the present and causes us to start blaming our condition on time, circumstances, and other people.
The problem is not the existence of thoughts, but their continuous and uncontrolled nature. This mental noise saps our energy, weakens our decision-making abilities, and distances us from our true feelings. Just as a constant noise prevents us from hearing anything clearly, this mental chatter keeps us from understanding ourselves clearly.
True peace and power lie not in completely eliminating thoughts, but in gaining control over them and becoming their observer instead of treating them as an enemy.
