I recently shared my thoughts with Public News TV on the government's decision to reduce customs duty on mobile phones by 20% - and I believe this is a highly commendable step.

For true technological advancement and a Digital Pakistan, affordable smartphones are essential. High taxes don't stop the need for devices - they just drive people toward smuggled and non-PTA phones because standard rates are out of reach.

This creates a serious security risk, as untraceable phones complicate crime investigations. Lowering these duties and offering PTA installments makes tech accessible while keeping our digital ecosystem secure and regulated.

A great move toward a safer, digitally inclusive Pakistan!
