GOLD WASHING COMPLEX "URAL" + FINE SLUICE BOX (FSB) + PUMP STATION
Engineered for High-Efficiency Fine Gold Recovery on the Indus River, Pakistan, Central African Republic, Maniema
1. COMPLEX COMPOSITION & MODULES
Module Function & Specification
Receiving Hopper Equipped with a vibratory feeder and an integrated spray irrigation system. Ensures a consistent, uniform feed of material, even when processing wet and high-clay content alluvial sands.
Vibrating Screen GST-42 Features a polygonal, variable-aperture screening deck. The lower deck utilizes a submerged screening process where water fluidizes the material, actively breaking down clay and preventing mesh blinding. Effectively scalps coarse material (+10 mm) for disposal via excavator or integrated conveyor.
Two-Level Fine Sluice Box (FSB) Offers a total concentration area of 15.5 m². An integrated hydro-classifier screens the -2 mm ultrafine fraction, directing it to the lower level for enhanced recovery. Fitted with proprietary riffle systems and high-efficiency gold-trapping matting. The inclination angle is adjustable in two planes for optimal settling conditions.
Pump Station Delivers a capacity of 720 m³/h at 10 atm pressure (highly recommended for effective clay disintegration). Provides the requisite water supply for screen irrigation and sluice operation.
Mobility All modules are mounted on independent, road-transportable chassis. This design allows for rapid relocation along the riverbed and straightforward transportation via public roads.
2. OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY & WORKFLOW
1. Loading: An excavator or wheel loader feeds raw alluvial material directly from the face into the receiving hopper, eliminating the need for truck haulage.
2. Disintegration & Classification: The combination of hopper vibration and high-pressure water spray from the pump station effectively breaks down clay agglomerates. The material is then fed to the GST-42 screen. The submerged lower deck enhances segregation; the water and vibration action liberate fine gold particles and washes away clay.
3. Stream Splitting: The oversize fraction (+10 mm) is directed to the tailings stack, while the undersize product (-10 mm) is piped to the Fine Sluice Box for concentration.
4. Gravity Concentration: On the sluice, gold particles—including fine and micron-level dust—settle on the riffles and trapping matting. The built-in hydro-classifier (-2 mm) further isolates the ultrafine fraction for meticulous recovery.
5. Clean-up (Concentrate Stripping): The sluice design allows for accelerated clean-up cycles, minimizing downtime.
Key Operational Advantage: The entire process operates on a zero-haulage scheme. The excavator and the processing plant advance in parallel along the cut face, significantly reducing operating costs and logistical requirements.
3. KEY ADVANTAGES FOR THE INDUS RIVER CONDITIONS
• Solutions for High Fine-Gold Losses: Traditional sluices often lose up to 70% of fine fractions. The URAL achieves up to 95% recovery of particles smaller than 0.5 mm, including flour gold, thanks to the hydro-classifier, submerged screening, and custom riffle technology.
• Superior Clay Handling: The integrated vibration, high-pressure irrigation, and submerged screen assembly effectively disaggregate clay, eliminating material buildup and preventing screen blinding.
• True Mobility: The complex is fully road-transportable and can be rapidly deployed across different sites. The sluice can be positioned on either side of the screen to suit operational layout.
• Zero-Haulage Efficiency: Reduces reliance on heavy mining fleets. Typically, only one excavator and one loader are required for continuous operation.
• Low Operational Expenditure (OPEX): Total installed power consumption is a mere 29.6 kW. Water is recirculated, and the pump station maintains a stable pressure head for consistent processing.
