Islamabad, Pakistan - Earlier today, Janasheen-e-Mufakkir-e-Islam, Pir Syed Ali Imam Jilani, was the target of a grave and cowardly assassination attempt carried out by unknown assailants in Islamabad, Pakistan.
By the infinite mercy and protection of Almighty Allah ﷻ, Pir Syed Ali Imam Jilani survived this heinous act. He sustained bullet injuries during the attack and is currently under close medical supervision. Doctors have confirmed that he will undergo an operation; however, by the grace of Allah, he is not in immediate danger, and his condition remains stable. We humbly request continued prayers for his full and swift recovery.
During the attack, the trusted and devoted Murid of Mufakkir-e-Islam, Malik Ahmad Nawaz Qadri, was also critically injured and is receiving urgent medical treatment. His condition is being closely monitored, and we ask all followers and well-wishers to remember him in their sincere duas.
It is with immense grief and sorrow that we announce that Raja Shafqat Qadri attained martyrdom (Shahadat) as a result of this brutal attack.
"And do not say of those who are slain in the path of Allah that they are dead; rather, they are alive, but you perceive it not” (Al-Baqarah 2:154).
May Allah Almighty elevate his ranks among the martyrs, envelop him in His mercy, and grant him eternal closeness to the Panjtan Paak. His funeral and burial will take place at 3PM on Monday 19 January 2026 at Chontra Bimbar Tarar Graveyard, Pakistan.
We extend our gratitude to the Islamabad administration, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and the dedicated team of doctors and medical staff for their swift response, professionalism, and tireless efforts in this critical situation.
We also wish to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude to the esteemed Mashaykh, Pirs, and the custodians of Darbars, both within Pakistan and across the world, who have reached out with messages of solidarity, concern, and heartfelt duas. Their prayers, spiritual support, and unity during this testing period are a source of great strength and comfort for the family, devotees, and all those connected to the noble mission of Mufakkir-e-Islam.
At this sensitive time, we urge all devotees, followers, and members of the public to remain calm, patient, and united. Kindly refrain from spreading rumors or unverified information and rely solely on official statements issued by authorized sources.
We humbly request continued duas for the complete recovery of Pir Syed Ali Imam Jilani; the healing and well-being of Malik Ahmad Nawaz Qadri; and for the elevated station of Shaheed Raja Shafqat Qadri.
May Allah ﷻ protect His Prophet's Lineage, grant strength and patience to all affected hearts, and keep the Ummah under His divine protection.
