Islamabad: The investigation into the alleged illegal handling of human biological material has intensified after a fresh joint operation by the FIA Corporate Crime Circle and the Human Organ Transplant Authority (HOTA).
Acting on information obtained during the initial investigation, officials raided a premises in Sector E-11, where dozens of containers containing processed human placenta were allegedly recovered from refrigerators. According to investigators, the material was reportedly processed and prepared for export under the name "She Placenta", with Vietnam identified as the intended destination.
Two Pakistani workers, Amjad Iqbal and Muhammad Nasir, were taken into custody during the raid. An FIR has been registered at FIA Corporate Crime Circle Islamabad on the complaint of HOTA Administrative Officer Hina Kanwal.
A special investigation team headed by Assistant Director Omar Arsalan, along with Sub-Inspectors Kashif Saeed, Muhammad Junaid, and Tabish, has been constituted to further investigate the case.
