Dr. Tahira Nishtar is a distinguished radiologist who made history as the first woman Chairperson of the Imaging & Interventional Radiology Department at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).

With 30+ research publications, international certifications and extensive work in radiation safety and medical training, she continues to strengthen healthcare through knowledge and innovation.

She is also documenting the rich history of Lady Reading Hospital, ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2027.

A dedicated psychologist and speech pathologist, Haseena Zahoor has been working since 2019 to support children with special needs, people with disabilities and individuals facing psychological challenges.

Her work also extends to providing emotional and psychological support to families of missing persons in KP and Punjab, while training psychologists and victim families.

Since 2022, she has focused on neurodevelopmental disorders, helping children through specialized therapies and support.

With over a decade in journalism, Khalida Niaz has dedicated her career to highlighting stories often overlooked by mainstream media, particularly those of women, gender minorities and marginalized communities.

Currently serving as Managing Editor at Shaal News, she has earned national and international recognition for her work on gender, human rights, child labour and religious freedom.

Beyond reporting, Khalida trains and mentors young women in mobile journalism and blogging, helping create the next generation of female journalists.

Meet Nadia Sabohi, a courageous journalist from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who has spent her career reporting from conflict zones and highlighting the realities faced by communities affected by war.

Associated with PTV, Daily Jang, Radio Pakistan and Geo News since 2002, Nadia has broken barriers while working alongside her male colleagues across challenging beats.

Her courage and dedication earned her the Brave Woman Award in America in 2016.

A distinguished journalist, poet, author and entrepreneur, Saima Mahboob has made her mark through literature, business and humanitarian service.

Author of two poetry collections and a short-story book, she is also the visionary behind Zimal-A, a successful herbal products brand.

During the 2021–22 floods, Saima led efforts to build nearly 200 homes and portable washrooms for affected communities.

Her journey reflects resilience, creativity and a commitment to serving others.

Farangis Azim | A Trailblazer for Women

An accomplished civil servant and advocate for women’s empowerment, Farangis Azim made history as the first female Budget Officer-I in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She has also served as a World Bank Coordinator and led key projects for the KP Government.

Today, she is serving as Assistant Commissioner (AC) Buner, continuing her journey of public service and leadership.
