Fashion meets Diplomacy! ✨🇩🇰🇵🇰

At the Cultural Colors Season Fashion Show in Islamabad, the talented students of NIFTYSPHERE Institute of Arts & Design brought Danish heritage to the runway with a stunning collection inspired by Denmark’s national bird - the elegant Swan 🦢

Our Chargé d'Affaires, Lone Brown, attended the showcase and was truly mesmerized by the sheer creativity and craftsmanship displayed by Pakistan’s young designers 👏👏

A big shoutout to the dedicated faculty and leadership at NIFTYSPHERE for mentoring these brilliant minds and proving that art and fashion build the most inspiring bridges of friendship and cultural connection between our nations 🙌

Powering the Green Transition: Pakistan & Denmark Join Forces!

Real climate progress takes strong, action-driven partnerships. In a major step forward, Dr. Fakhr-e-Alam, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Energy (Power Division) and H.E. Maja Derrous Mortensen, Danish Ambassador to Pakistan, officially sign an MoU for Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) program between Denmark and Pakistan in the energy sector! 🇩🇰🤝🇵🇰

The ceremony was witnessed by Federal Minister for Energy (Power Division) H.E. Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, followed by a high-level meeting with the Ambassador to discuss the future of bilateral energy collaboration ⚡️

Building on the success of the Danish Energy Transition Initiative (DETI) - which launched back in 2021 - this government-to-government partnership pairs Danish clean-tech expertise directly with Pakistan’s key energy institutions 🙌

Together, they are tackling three critical priorities: building long-term energy plans, scaling up renewables on the grid, and boosting industrial energy efficiency to cut emissions 💪

Góða Ólavsøku/Happy Ólavsøka! Today is the National Day of the Faroe Islands🇫🇴

The Faroe Islands is an archipelago of 18 mountainous islands in the North Atlantic and is a self-governing country within The Kingdom of Denmark.

Did you know that Ólavsøka marks the yearly opening of the Faroese Parliament Løgtingið, which is thought to be one of the oldest Parliaments in the world, dating back to around year 800?

We wish the Faroe Islands a happy celebration.

Stronger Partnerships, Sustainable Water Solutions!

✈️ A delegation from the Govt of Punjab and WASA Faisalabad travelled to Denmark as part of the Faisalabad Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

During their visit, the delegation met with project partners and experts, including NIRAS, Impact Fund Denmark and Munck, to discuss project progress, design developments and future opportunities for collaboration in Pakistan’s water sector 🤝🇩🇰🇵🇰

The delegation also visited a wastewater treatment plant in Odense, gaining first-hand insights into Danish wastewater treatment technologies and solutions💧🌱🙌

By bringing Pakistani and Danish expertise together, we are turning knowledge into action and strengthening cooperation for a more sustainable and resilient water future 💪

We’re excited to bring you another edition of Alumni Spotlight! 🧑‍🎓✨

This time, we’re featuring Khurram Gondal, now serving as the Country Director of Save the Children Pakistan Program. Earlier in his career, Khurram spent two years in Denmark as Senior Humanitarian Advisor at Save the Children Denmark, where he advanced children’s rights and supported humanitarian efforts 💪

🇩🇰 Danish Ambassador, Maja Derrous Mortensen visited, Khurram at the Save the Children office in Islamabad. During the visit, Khurram fondly reflected on his time in Denmark, sharing memories of the friendships, experiences, and the cycling culture that he wholeheartedly embraced - and absolutely loved! 🚲

From Denmark to Pakistan, stories like Khurram’s remind us of the incredible impact our alumni continue to make around the world 🙌
