At the concluding seminar of the HumPakistan initiative in Peshawar, Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz, Former Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Pakistan, stressed the importance of youth leadership rooted in values of tolerance, respect, and inclusivity.

“Our young generation carries the responsibility of shaping a society where faith inspires harmony, not division.”

His message served as a reminder that lasting peace in the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) requires both moral guidance and active youth participation.

🌿 In a land shaped by resilience, a new narrative has emerged — written not with fear, but with hope.

Through the Hum Pakistan - Youth for Peace initiative, young men and women from the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stepped forward — not as victims of conflict, but as leaders of peace.

Led by CHEF International - Pakistan, as part of a UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime funded by the European Union in Pakistan, and in collaboration with NACTA, this initiative planted the seeds of transformation — and watched them grow.

📘 Rahnuma-e-Naujawan – A Youth-Led Guidebook for Change

As part of a UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime funded by the European Union in Pakistan, and implemented in collaboration with NACTA, CHEF International - Pakistan — under its Hum Pakistan - Youth for Peace — developed a youth-led guidebook titled Rahnuma-e-Naujawan. Designed to empower young people from KP and the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs), this guidebook equips them with the knowledge and tools to become drivers of peace, inclusion, and resilience in their communities.

In areas where access to education and opportunities remains limited, this guidebook offers an accessible and empowering resource rooted in local culture, real-life examples, and the lived experiences of youth.

Over 200 participants — including tribal youth, civil society voices, media professionals, government officials, and international partners — came together in Peshawar for a powerful seminar under the Hum Pakistan initiative.

Organized by CHEF International - Pakistan as part of a UNODC - United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime project funded by the European Union in Pakistan, in collaboration with NACTA, this landmark event focused on “The Role of Youth in Fostering National Cohesion and Prosperity in Pakistan” — spotlighting the strength and stories of youth from the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

🎬 A heartfelt documentary “Hum Pakistan – A Journey of Hope” moved the audience with real stories of transformation.

The third seminar under CHEF International - Pakistan initiative brought over 100 youth, educators, and experts together at University of Peshawar to discuss digital resilience, misinformation, and youth empowerment in KP’s Newly Merged Districts (NMDs).

💡 From tackling online harassment to promoting responsible journalism, the event emphasized digital literacy as a critical tool for peacebuilding.
