The 21st Meeting of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource, Research and Development Board (BBSHRRDB) was held at the Board's Head Office under the chairmanship of Mr. Tameez Uddin Khero, Chairman of the Board.
The meeting was attended by Engr. Munawar Ali Mithani, Secretary of the Board Engr. Taimur Ali and Mr. Muhammad Suleman Dashti, Regional Consultants; Mr. Fayyaz Rahoojo, Director Training, Mr. Nisarullah Shaikh, Vice Chairman, Mr. Muhammed Idrees, Member; Mr. Muhammed Azeem, Deputy Secretary, Finance Department, Mr. Zulfiquar Ali, Assistant Chief, Planning & Development Department, Mr. Ghulam Yasin Sabzoi, Deputy Secretary, Labour Department, Mr. Sikandar Ali Bhatti, Deputy Director (A&F), Mr. Faizullah Soomro, Assistant Director (Administration); along with other officials of the Board.
During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the Board's ongoing activities, training initiatives, and overall operational performance was undertaken. Participants deliberated on strategies to further strengthen technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs, with a focus on enhancing employability, developing market driven skills, and expanding sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth of Sindh.
The Board reviewed and deliberated upon 24 agenda items covering administrative, financial, policy, and organizational matters. Detailed discussions were held to promote good governance, enhance institutional efficiency, and ensure the effective implementation of the Board's strategic objectives and development initiatives.
In his concluding remarks, Chairman Mr. Tameez Uddin Khero appreciated the valuable contributions of all participants and reiterated the Board's steadfast commitment to strengthening human resource development, promoting economic self reliance, and advancing the Government of Sindh's vision of inclusive, sustainable, and equitable development. He emphasized that the Board would continue to work proactively to create greater opportunities for youth through quality skills development and effective training programs aligned with the evolving needs of the labour market.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been formally signed between the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research and Development Board (BBSHRRDB) and the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) to strengthen strategic collaboration in promoting skills development, workforce empowerment, and employment generation initiatives across the province. The partnership aims to bridge the gap between industry and skilled human resources, enhance employability, and contribute to reducing unemployment through coordinated efforts.
The MoU was signed by the Secretary of BBSHRRDB, Engr. Munawar Ali Mithani, and the Secretary General of the Employers Federation of Pakistan, Mr. Nazar Ali. Awareness Stall by BBSHRRDB at the 283rd Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Bhitshah
During the 283rd Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai held at Bhitshah, District Matiari, the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources, Research and Development Board (BBSHRRDB) established an awareness stall to promote its initiatives and public outreach.
The BBSHRRDB team actively performed its responsibilities by disseminating information about the Board's mission, objectives, and various programmes. Visitors, particularly youth from across Sindh, were provided with comprehensive guidance regarding free technical education, skill development programmes, and vocational training opportunities aimed at enhancing employability and empowering the workforce.The BBSHRRDB team, including Mr. Shamsuddin Ujjan, Mr. Qurban Ali Jatoi, & Ms. Yasmeen Solangi, Assistant Directors provided information about the Board's mission, free technical education, skill development programmes, and vocational training opportunities to visitors, particularly youth from across Sindh.

A delegation from the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Islamabad, called on the Worthy Chairperson, BBSHRRDB, and the Secretary of the Board. The delegation comprised Dr. Sohaib Aqib, Senior Data Analytics & Climate Change Exchange, Ms. Hayya Hanif, and Mr. M. Waseem Afridi.
The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) is a leading public policy think tank based in Islamabad that has been supporting the Federal, Provincial, and Local Governments for over three decades through research, policy analysis, evaluations, strategic communications, and capacity building initiatives. Its work has significantly contributed to evidence based public policy formulation, policy review, and economic and governance reforms across Pakistan.
The visit was held in connection with SDPI's ongoing scoping study, commissioned by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), aimed at mapping economic policy competencies and identifying reform priorities to promote sustainable economic growth at the federal and provincial levels.
During the meeting, the delegation held detailed discussions with the leadership of BBSHRRDB on the following key areas:
1. The institutional mandate, functions, and key challenges faced by BBSHRRDB.
2. Ongoing and recently concluded support provided by development partners.
3. Priority institutional reforms and future technical assistance requirements to strengthen the Board's capacity and effectiveness.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination and collaboration.

A meeting of the Technical Committee of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research & Development Board (BBSHRRDB) was convened to review, evaluate and revise Proposals for Training (PFTs) submitted by various training providers. The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure that the PFTs comply with the Board's quality assurance standards and monitoring & evaluation requirements.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Islam Hameed, Chairman of the Technical Committee, who participated online from Norway. Mr. Fayaz Hussain Rahoojo, Director Training, presided as the Secretary of the Technical Committee from the BBSHRRDB Headquarters Committee Room. The session was attended by members of the Technical Committee, technical experts, and officials of the BBSHRRDB Secretariat.
Following a comprehensive review and detailed deliberations, the Committee endorsed the revised PFTs and recommended them for further approval by the competent authority and subsequent implementation in accordance with the Board's prescribed procedures and quality standards.
