🌳 Greener Today, Safer Tomorrow
IPA Sindh Chapter Celebrates International Tree Plantation Drive at DIG East Office, Karachi
In alignment with the global commitment of the International Police Association (IPA) to environmental sustainability and climate consciousness, the IPA Sindh Chapter took a significant step forward by organizing a tree plantation drive at the park of the DIG East Office in Karachi. This meaningful event was held under the special instructions of the Chapter Chairperson, Mr. Khadim Hussain Rind, in response to the global IPA International Tree Plantation campaign.
The occasion was marked by the esteemed presence of senior officers and active IPA members who came together not just to plant trees, but to sow the seeds of a greener and healthier future. Among the distinguished participants were DIG East Mr. Usman Ghani Siddiqui, SSP East Dr. Farrukh Raza, and Secretary General Ms. Shehla Qureshi. Their leadership and presence underscored the importance of uniting for environmental responsibility—something that goes hand-in-hand with the IPA’s broader mission of global fellowship and public service.
A dynamic team of IPA Sindh members including Mr. Amin Ahmed, Mr. Tariq Jadoon, Mr. Shakeel Tanoli, Mr. Rahmatullah Marwat, Mr. Syed Masood Ali Mehdi, and Mr. Asim Ali actively participated in planting a diverse selection of saplings. Each plant symbolized a pledge to future generations—a commitment to climate resilience and ecological balance.
The event also included a solemn moment of reflection and prayer, offered for the betterment of our planet and the hope that small acts—like the planting of a tree—can grow into global change. In an age of rising climate emergencies, this act of unity and purpose reminds us that protecting the environment is no longer optional; it is a moral and professional obligation.
Following the plantation, the team gathered for a group photo session, capturing not only a shared moment of achievement but also the spirit of solidarity that defines the IPA’s mission. Smiles were exchanged, mud-splattered shoes were worn proudly, and the air, for a moment, felt just a bit fresher.
This event served not only as a local contribution to a global cause but also as a reminder: that peace officers are not just guardians of law and order—but also stewards of the Earth. As trees begin to grow under the Karachi sun, so does the hope that our collective efforts today will yield shade, shelter, and sustenance for the world of tomorrow.
