The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi, H.E Mudzakir, received a courtesy visit from the Consul General of Malaysia, H.E Mohd Yunus bin Ibrahim, at the Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi (27/8).

Following a successful visit to Nawabshah, the Indonesian Consul General in Karachi, H.E. Mudzakir, expanded his economic diplomacy efforts to the Jamshoro Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 25 August 2026. Warmly received by the Chamber’s leadership and members, the delegation introduced Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026—scheduled for 14–18 October in Greater Jakarta—while actively listening to the views, expectations, and ideas of the local business community.

During the engagement, the Consul General emphasized that building strong economic relations goes beyond mere product promotion, rooting itself instead in dialogue, mutual understanding, and identifying shared opportunities. From Nawabshah to Jamshoro, this continuous grassroots outreach reflects Indonesia’s commitment to connecting directly with local traders and turning its longstanding friendship with Pakistan into stronger, more tangible economic partnerships.

The Indonesian Consul General in Karachi visited Nawabshah on August 24, 2026 to strengthen bilateral economic ties, which included a productive meeting with the Shaheed Benazirabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SBCCI). Taking economic diplomacy beyond the meeting room, the Consul General also engaged directly with the local marketplace, receiving a remarkably warm reception from shopkeepers and traders who welcomed him with traditional Sindhi ajraks, topis, flower petals, and enthusiastic chants of “Pakistan-Indonesia Zindabad!”

During these grassroots engagements, the Consulate General officially invited Nawabshah’s business community to participate in Trade Expo Indonesia 2026, scheduled for 14–18 October in Greater Jakarta. This visit reflects Indonesia’s continuous commitment to expanding trade networks beyond major urban centers and building concrete commercial partnerships between the people of both nations.
