Now his soul can be reunited with the soul and heart of his heart, Reem in heaven, Insha'Allah! I have no words to express my sadness of the loss of yet another kind, nobel and compassionate soul, doing Allah's work on earth, even after living amidst war and famine, losing almost all his family and friends, his country, his home yet his belief in his creator never staggered.
This man who has become loved globally by millions of strangers through his videos of his service to humanity and animals alike through his wisdom, elegance, opulence, strong beliefs, kindness and above all his undying love for his beloved grand daughter 💙 whom he lost to war along with her baby brother- made the world cry when he clung to his granddaughter small lifeless body, hugging, kissing and speaking with her in hushed tones, bidding her farewell till he sees her again.
How are we supposed to stay sane in these times of extreme pain & torture & helplessness of our brethren?

How are we expected to move on with our lives? Well, some of us in millions can't move on, WON'T MOVE ON- there is no turning our heads the other way, from all we have witnessed, the death of humanity, the selective sympathy & empathy.
We must not, for tomorrow it could be anyone else even us.
There will be no celebrations of the New years Eve because there is nothing in this world to celebrate with the destruction of our planet and the slow death of humanity.
I know I won't be celebrating anything, only regret and remorse. I can't do more than post, write, speak out against the ongoing g@nocide because that's the least we can do, that's demonstrating the weakest imaan.

What a wholesome and fulfilling experience to meet with these gentle giants, these magnificent creatures in person, yet again, it was a bitter sweet goodbye to my darling girls Madubala, Sonia and Malika.

Till I see them again I pray they are as well looked after in future as they are now in the care of management and their best friends, their handlers- their keepers who work tirelessly & often not as appreciated as they should be, the men who take care of these gentle gaints by keeping them well fed, well kept & entertained.

Huge thanks to the management along with the local vets looking after the health and well-being of these 🐘 elephants.

Finally, a round of applause for the local activists who started the whole movement for the elephants of Karachi Zoo and Safari,thanks guys for pushing for the freedom of these elephants from those tiny cages which could never contain these magistic gaints.

Four Paws International 🐾 Project director, the iconic Dr. Amir Khalil, an equally amazing team of doctors & technical experts - you all have our gratitude of all Pakistanis & these elephants, who are not alone anymore and reunited with their sisters- living together in freedom and their natural habitat.
