A meaningful plantation drive was successfully conducted today at the SPDPA Office in collaboration with DEP&D, SPDPA (Sindh Persons with Disabilities Protection Authority) and IHRI, along with representatives from various partner organizations.

A high-level meeting regarding the operationalization of Special Courts for Persons with Disabilities was conducted today, May 19, 2026, under the chairmanship of Director General SPDPA, Ghulam Farooq Laghari, at the SPDPA office in Karachi. Following the directives of the Honorable Chief Minister of Sindh, the session focused on strengthening inter-departmental coordination, ensuring disability-inclusive infrastructure, and streamlining legal facilitation to make the notified Special Courts fully functional across the province.

For the first time, Access. Ability Careers 2026 was successfully organized in Shaheed Benazirabad through the joint efforts of DEPD, SPDPA, and ConnectHear.
This impactful initiative was designed to connect Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) with forward-thinking employers, opening doors to equal employment opportunities while fostering a culture of inclusion across Sindh.
Strong emphasis on implementing the 5% employment quota under the Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2018.
