An Insightful Luncheon Meeting on Public Dealing by Police

District Governor Rtn. Shahzad Sabir attended a luncheon meeting held on 25th August 2026 at Pearl Continental Hotel, featuring Mr. Azad Khan, Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) as the distinguished speaker.

Mr. Azad Khan delivered an insightful talk on “Public Dealing by Police,” highlighting the importance of effective communication, public trust and positive engagement between law enforcement agencies and the community.

District Governor Rtn. Shahzad Sabir attended the meeting as the Guest of Honor, joining Rotarians and distinguished guests for an engaging and meaningful discussion.

The event was presided over by President Rtn. Humayun Qureshi and provided an excellent platform for interaction, dialogue and the exchange of valuable perspectives.

Such meaningful engagements strengthen the connection between institutions and communities and contribute towards building a safer, stronger and more collaborative society.

Proud to have Rotary International District 3271 as a host partner of the Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness & Oath-Taking Session for school students of Lyari Town, in collaboration with the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, Government of Sindh; Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF); and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The session was chaired by DG Hanak Baloch as Chief Guest, alongside District Governor Shahzad Sabir, bringing together students, educators and key stakeholders with one shared mission — protecting our youth from the dangers of drug abuse.

Special appreciation to our partner clubs, Rotary Club of Karachi Development, led by President Naveed Abbas Adenwalla (2026–27), and Rotary Club of Karachi Sunset Millennium, led by President Dr. Kausar Malik, for their valuable support and participation.

Sincere appreciation to Rotarian Hunain and his wife for facilitating the venue, and to all the teachers, organizers and students who made this initiative meaningful.

It was particularly encouraging to see students representing 30 Government and 32 Private schools come together for this important cause.

The message of “Walk a Cause – Mouth Cancer, Polio Awareness & Drug Abuse” continues to reach wider audiences through extensive print and digital media coverage.

Led by District Governor Shahzad Sabir alongside Rotary leaders, government representatives, healthcare professionals and community partners, the initiative brought Karachi together for three important causes — Mouth Cancer Awareness, a Polio-Free Pakistan, and Drug Abuse Prevention.
