On the occasion of Independence Day, the Gilgit-Baltistan Waste Management Company Kharmang (GBWMC), in collaboration with GBRSP and led by Assistant Commissioner Ishrat Fatima, successfully conducted a comprehensive cleanliness campaign at Manthokha Waterfall in Kharmang. This patriotic initiative aimed to protect natural tourist destinations and promote eco-friendly awareness among visitors. To further support environmental sustainability, a dedicated drive was launched to distribute reusable cloth bags among commercial business owners, staff, and the general public to actively discourage the use of single-use plastics. The event concluded with special prayers for the security of Pakistan and the prosperity of the Armed Forces, serving as a formal call to action for everyone to keep our tourist sites clean and plastic-free.
