KUST Academic Staff Association Honors Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas on his nomination for the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz

The KUST Academic Staff Association organized a cake-cutting ceremony to honor Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas on his nomination for the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz National Award.

The Association also presented an honorary shield to the Vice Chancellor in recognition of this distinguished achievement. Deans, Directors, Section Heads, Heads of Departments, faculty members and staff attended the ceremony and extended their congratulations and best wishes.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Syed Zafar Ilyas thanked the Academic Staff Association and university community for their warm felicitations and continued support.

جامعہ کوہاٹ میں Outcome-Based Education پر خصوصی ٹریننگ ورکشاپ کا انعقاد

جامعہ کوہاٹ میں Outcome-Based Education (OBE) کے موضوع پر ایک خصوصی ٹریننگ ورکشاپ منعقد ہوئی، جس میں ڈینز، چیئرپرسنز، Curriculum Development Coordinators اور متعلقہ فیکلٹی و انتظامی افسران نے شرکت کی۔

ورکشاپ کے کلیدی مقرر COMSATS University Islamabad کے شعبہ کمپیوٹر سائنس کے سربراہ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاء الرحمٰن تھے۔ انہوں نے Outcome-Based Education کے بنیادی اصولوں، مؤثر نصاب کی تشکیل، تعلیمی نتائج کے حصول، معیارِ تعلیم میں بہتری اور مسلسل بہتری کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر تفصیلی گفتگو کی۔

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیاء الرحمٰن نے OBE کو جدید تعلیمی تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ اور مستقبل کے چیلنجز سے نمٹنے کے لیے تیار گریجویٹس کی تیاری کا ایک مؤثر فریم ورک قرار دیا۔ انہوں نے نصاب سازی، Accreditation، Quality Assurance اور تعلیمی معیار کی بہتری میں OBE کی اہمیت پر بھی روشنی ڈالی۔

وائس چانسلر جامعہ کوہاٹ، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس نے یونیورسٹی میں OBE Policy کے مؤثر نفاذ اور اس کے عملی اطلاق کی خواہش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ Outcome-Based Education کے ذریعے طلبہ کو مارکیٹ اور مستقبل کی ضروریات کے مطابق مطلوبہ علم، مہارتیں اور صلاحیتیں فراہم کی جا سکتی ہیں۔

ٹریننگ ورکشاپ کا انعقاد ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل کے ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر ذیشان بنگش کے زیرِ اہتمام کیا گیا۔ جس کا مقصد یونیورسٹی میں معیاری اور Outcome-Based تعلیمی نظام کے فروغ، مؤثر نصاب سازی اور Quality Assurance کے حوالے سے متعلقہ فیکلٹی و انتظامی عہدیداران کی استعدادِ کار میں اضافہ کرنا تھا۔

وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس نے اس ٹریننگ ورکشاپ کے کامیاب انعقاد پر ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف کوالٹی انہانسمنٹ سیل (QEC) کی ٹیم کو سراہا اور معیاری تعلیم کے فروغ، نصاب میں بہتری اور تعلیمی معیار کو بین الاقوامی تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ کرنے کے لیے ایسی علمی و تربیتی سرگرمیوں کے تسلسل پر زور دیا۔

شرکاء نے ٹریننگ ورکشاپ کو OBE کے عملی نفاذ، نصاب کی بہتری اور یونیورسٹی میں تعلیمی معیار کے مزید فروغ کے حوالے سے ایک اہم اور مفید اقدام قرار دیا۔

Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST) organized a special seminar on Outcome-Based Education (OBE), attended by Deans, Chairpersons, and Curriculum Development Coordinators.

Prof. Dr. Zia-ur-Rehman, Head of the Department of Computer Science at COMSATS University Islamabad, delivered an insightful talk on OBE principles, curriculum development, learning outcomes, and quality enhancement.

Organized by the Directorate of Quality Enhancement Cell under Dr. Zeeshan Bangash, the seminar aimed to strengthen capacity for effective curriculum development, accreditation, and quality assurance.

وائس چانسلر کسٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس کو ستارۂ امتیاز کے لئے نامزد دیا گیا

یومِ آزادی پاکستان 2026ء کے موقع پر صدرِ اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان کی جانب سے جامعہ کوہاٹ کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس کو ملک کے اعلیٰ ترین سول اعزازات میں شامل ستارۂ امتیاز کے لئے نامزد کر دیا گیا ہے۔

یہ اعزاز سائنس، تحقیق، جدت، اعلیٰ تعلیم اور علمی و سائنسی شعبوں میں پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس کی نمایاں خدمات کے اعتراف میں دیا گیا ہے۔ ان کی علمی و تحقیقی خدمات اور قیادت نے پاکستان میں تحقیق و جدت کے فروغ اور اعلیٰ تعلیم کے معیار کو بہتر بنانے میں اہم کردار ادا کیا ہے۔

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس نے اپنے علمی و پیشہ ورانہ سفر کے دوران تحقیق، علمی تخلیق، اختراع اور تعلیمی ایکسیلینس کے فروغ پر خصوصی توجہ دی، جبکہ نوجوان نسل کو تحقیق اور جدید علم کی جانب راغب کرنے کے لیے بھی نمایاں کردار ادا کیا۔

اس موقع پر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر سید ظفر الیاس نے ستارۂ امتیاز کو اپنے خاندان، اساتذہ، رہنماؤں، ساتھیوں اور طلبہ و طالبات کے نام منسوب کرتے ہوئے ان تمام افراد کا شکریہ ادا کیا جنہوں نے ان کے علمی اور پیشہ ورانہ سفر میں ان کی رہنمائی اور حوصلہ افزائی کی۔
