An awareness seminar on Women's Rights & Workplace Protection was successfully held in Rawalpindi. The session aimed to educate and empower women about their legal rights and the mechanisms available to protect them against harassment.

We were honored to have ๐Ž๐ฆ๐›๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ฃ๐š๐›, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐๐š๐ฃ๐ฆ๐š ๐€๐Ÿ๐ณ๐š๐ฅ ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง, as our Chief Guest. In her address, she reinforced the vision of ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ฃ๐š๐› ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ž๐Ÿ ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ๐š๐ฆ ๐๐š๐ฐ๐š๐ณ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ข๐Ÿ to bring women's rights to their doorsteps.

๐‹๐ž๐ ๐š๐ฅ ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ: Law Officer Raja Adnan Azhar provided a detailed overview of the Anti-Harassment Act 2010 (Amended 2012).

๐™๐ž๐ซ๐จ ๐“๐จ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž: Dr. Najma Afzal Khan emphasized that harassment of women is a punishable crime.

๐Œ๐š๐ง๐๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‚๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ž๐ฌ: Every institution (government or private) must form a 3-member Anti-Harassment Inquiry Committee.

๐’๐š๐Ÿ๐ž ๐„๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ: It is mandatory to display the Code of Conduct at all workplaces.

๐€๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐‰๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ž: The Ombudsperson Punjab (established in 2013) provides immediate relief. Both men and women can approach this institution against harassment.

Harassment is a global issue, and through these awareness seminars across the province, we are taking strong steps to prevent it.
