Project Review Meeting | NGC Power Transmission Initiatives
On May 25, 2026, the National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) hosted a high-level project review meeting at WAPDA House, Lahore — bringing together NGC leadership and a monitoring team from the Planning Commission of Pakistan.
The Planning Commission team was led by Engr. Amir Zamir Ahmed Khan, Project Director (Monitoring & Evaluation), while NGC was represented by Managing Director Engr. Altaf Hussain Malik, GM (Project Delivery), senior officials, and project directors.
Key initiatives reviewed:
✅ Capacity Building for the BEST-PAK Program
✅ Installation of Reactive Power Compensation Devices across the NGC Network
✅ Power evacuation infrastructure for Suki Kinari, Kohala & Mahal Hydropower Projects
Discussions covered revised PC-1s, feasibility reports, financial & physical progress, fund utilization, milestone tracking, and bottleneck resolution — ensuring these critical projects stay on course.
Strong coordination between NGC and the Planning Commission is exactly what Pakistan's energy sector needs to move from planning to ex*****on. 🇵🇰⚡
