𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲
The Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA) welcomed 39 Investigation Officers of the 20th Special Sexual Offences Investigation Unit (𝗦𝗦𝗢𝗜𝗨) Course from the Police Training College, Lahore, for an educational study visit.
During the engagement, JFS Waqar Pervaiz delivered a focused session on the importance of forensic evidence in sexual assault cases, emphasizing the need to identify, preserve, and submit all relevant evidence without overlooking critical details.
The session also covered the documentation and requirements for submitting evidence to the Evidence Receiving Unit (ERU), helping participants understand the procedural requirements involved in the forensic examination process.
The officers also visited different departments of PFSA to gain practical insight into their functions, procedures and working mechanisms, strengthening their understanding of how forensic science supports investigation and the criminal justice process.
PFSA continues to support professional capacity building among investigation officers through practical learning, scientific knowledge and institutional engagement.
