Our talented young students are receiving Sarangi training from a skilled Ustad at the Sarangi School. 🎻

Under the guidance of their respected teacher, the students are learning this beautiful traditional musical instrument and preserving our rich cultural heritage. 🌟🏛️

A memorable Open Mic – Urdu Poetry & Prose event was organized as part of the Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage. ✨🎭

The talented children from our communities along the Delhi Gate and Lohari Royal Trail beautifully performed Urdu poetry and prose on stage, showcasing their confidence, creativity and cultural talent. 🎤🌟

🌧️🏚️ Monsoon Awareness Campaign – Another Round 📢
📅 24 August 2026

Following the successful completion of the first round of the Monsoon Awareness Campaign 🌧️, the Social Mobilization Team of the Punjab Walled Cities and Heritage Areas Authority (PWCA) 🏛️ has now started another round of the awareness campaign. 🔄📢

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ As part of this ongoing effort, the team conducted awareness activities in A Ward and B Ward 🏘️ to educate residents about the risks associated with dangerous buildings and houses 🏚️⚠️ during the monsoon season. 🌧️

🗣️ The team interacted with local residents, shared important safety precautions 🦺, and encouraged the community to remain vigilant and report any building showing signs of cracks, structural damage, or possible collapse. ⚠️🏠

To promote Lahore’s rich heritage and intangible culture, the dedicated and committed Social Mobilization Team (SMT) played a remarkable role by launching a special radio program on FM 101 under the title “Uchai Burj Lahore De” 🎙️📻👏

The program aimed to highlight and promote the cultural traditions, history, heritage, and intangible cultural assets of Lahore, while creating awareness among the public about the importance of preserving our valuable heritage. 🏛️🎶🎭

Resettlement Meetings Outside Delhi Gate 🤝

In 2010, the Social Mobilization Team (SMT) conducted a series of resettlement meetings with the shopkeepers outside Delhi Gate 🏘️🏛️ for the vacation of 164 shops 🏪 as part of the project activities. 🚧

These meetings focused on 🤝 community engagement, 🗣️ awareness, 📋 coordination, and addressing the concerns of the affected shopkeepers to ensure a smooth and effective resettlement process. 🏛️✨

🎨✨ Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage & Talent Hunt Program ✍️🏛️

More than 100 talented students from universities across Lahore and Punjab participated in a Painting & Calligraphy Competitions 🎨✍️.

With the collaboration of the Social Mobilization Team (PWCA) and support of VSCOPK, an All Punjab Exhibitions was organized at Chowk Wazir Khan 🕌 and Barkat Ali Islamia Hall 🏛️.

🎭 The Social Mobilization Team identified and appreciated talented artists, formed a dedicated group, and will provide them opportunities at heritage and tourist sites to promote art, culture, heritage and tourism. 🌍✨

🌧️🏚️ Monsoon Awareness Campaign – A Ward Walled City

The Social Mobilization Team of the Punjab Walled Cities and Heritage Areas Authority (PWCA) conducted a Monsoon Awareness Campaign in A Ward to raise awareness among residents about the risks associated with dangerous buildings and houses during the monsoon season.
