With smart digital surveillance fully operational across the province, Punjab WASA continues to manage monsoon operations through its central Command and Control Room established at the Head Office. The setup leverages 13 specialized dashboards and 134 digital rain gauges, giving management real-time visibility over rainfall intensity and field progress in every district.

Speaking on the initiative, DG WASA Punjab Mr. Tayyab Farid highlighted that this tech-driven approach replaces manual reporting, enabling immediate coordination with field teams to address urban flood risks effectively during monsoon spells.

Under the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chairman WASA Punjab Nawabzada Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan visited Gujranwala to review municipal operations and monsoon readiness. A comprehensive performance meeting was held with Vice Chairman Omar Farooq Dar, local MPAs, and senior officials to address water supply, drainage challenges, and constituency concerns.

Under the leadership of Chairman WASA Punjab, Mr. Nawabzada Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, a high-level review meeting was convened with Managing Directors from all 41 districts to assess operational readiness ahead of the upcoming monsoon spell.

Co-leading the session, the Director General Punjab WASA Mr. Tayyab Farid emphasized strict monitoring and maximum performance efficiency across all regions throughout the monsoon season. The meeting was attended by all WASA Punjab directors and consultants.
