A community awareness session was successfully conducted at Village sooram, Chelhar by CCO, TFP and ATSV to highlight the importance of Routine Immunization in protecting children against 13 vaccine-preventable diseases.
During the session, caregivers were sensitized about the critical role of timely vaccination in ensuring the health and survival of their children. It was emphasized that completing the full course of immunization as per the schedule is essential to provide complete protection.
Caregivers were strongly encouraged to regularly visit their nearest health facility to ensure that any missed or remaining doses of routine immunization are completed without delay. In addition, participants were urged to actively support vaccinators during outreach sessions by cooperating with them and helping facilitate smooth implementation of vaccination activities.
The session also focused on community mobilization, encouraging participants to spread awareness within their families and neighborhoods to ensure maximum participation in routine immunization services.
Overall, the session was interactive and well-received, with caregivers showing interest and commitment towards safeguarding their children’s health through timely vaccination.
