Ajmal Khan belongs to Pakistan, he is a sophisticated person and is associated with the library department, he is serving as a librarian all over the world, including Pakistan, and now he is living in Saudi Arabia. over 30 years of professional experience in managing libraries nationally and internationally, worked in various positions in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in different libraries. My key competencies include planning and implementing major library programs, staffing, budgeting, integrating learning tools with e-learning technology, and providing educational technology support. I have specialized skills in Electronic Resource Management, Library Systems Administration, E-Learning Management, Clinical Trial Search Coordination/Support, General Library Administration, Collection Development Management, Discovery Solutions (Summon), EZproxy, SirsiDynix Symphony Administration, DSpace, etc. I am a friendly speaker and trainer in premier educational institutions and have delivered many guest lectures and presided as a resource person for many workshops and conferences. I completed my master’s in library science from the University of the Punjab Lahore, Pakistan, in 1992 and started my career at the College of Nursing, Pakistan, in 1992. Later, I joined Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU), Saudi Arabia, as a Lecture & Head of Library Systems in 2011. I played a major role in establishing the new Central Libraries and Digital Library under the Deanship of Library Affairs, at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, between 2012 and 2015. This position reports directly to the director of library affairs. The position will work closely with the director of library affairs and higher authority to support the community engagement process for the strategic plan development and implementation.
Work Experiences: (30 Years)
Since 2011, I have held the positions of Lecturer, Head of Library Quality, Academic Accreditation and Strategic Planning, serving as Liaison Librarian at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU) Library in Dammam (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). I was formerly the head of the system and technical section of the IAU Library.
