Under the visionary leadership of worthy MD KPEF, Mr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam, online interviews were successfully conducted in line with the Provincial Government’s austerity measures — ensuring transparency, cost efficiency and responsible utilization of public resources.
Members of the Scholarship / Financial Aid Committee and representatives from KPEF actively participated online, reinforcing strong institutional oversight and a strictly merit-based evaluation process.
Distinguished panels from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), International Islamic University, NUST Campus Balochistan, along with other partner universities, assessed students through a modern digital platform.
The MD KPEF personally conducted few interviews alongside the Director Academics, demonstrating hands-on leadership and commitment to merit. He expressed complete satisfaction over the transparent online merit system and the overall selection process.
KPEF continues to set benchmarks in fair, technology-driven and accountable scholarship selection — empowering deserving students across the province.

PESHAWAR, February 18, 2026 – In a resounding affirmation of its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation (KPEF) continues to forge ahead in its mission to empower private sector Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the province. Mr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam, Managing Director of KPEF, underscored the Foundation's unrelenting dedication to fostering a culture of quality education, emphasizing that the Continuing Professional Development of faculty staff remains a paramount priority.

Addressing the successful trainees of the 156th training activity of KPEF Academy, Mr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam reiterated the Foundation's mandate, as enshrined in its Act of 1992, to develop and provide trained faculty to HEIs. "Our mission is to catalyze academic transformation by equipping educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their profession," he declared.
The three-day training course, which concluded recently, witnessed the participation of 23 faculty members from privately managed universities and degree colleges in Peshawar. The trainees, who received certificates upon completion of the program, lauded the training as "practical and beneficial" in enhancing their professional acumen.

Notably, Dr. Sumaira Taj led an engaging and interactive session on modern teaching methods and techniques, leaving an indelible mark on the participants. The MD KPEF personally solicited feedback and suggestions from the trainees, demonstrating the Foundation's unwavering commitment to excellence.

Dr. Farzana Salim shed light on the pivotal theme of "Curriculum Management through Academic Planning", imparting invaluable insights to faculty members on effective curriculum development, program/course design, and student learning outcomes.
Her interactive lectures, replete with practical examples and case studies, enabled participants to grasp the nuances of academic planning, thereby empowering them to optimize their curriculum management strategies. The session was marked by engaging discussions and knowledge-sharing among participants.

Subsequent to her presentation, Dr. Farzana Salim held a productive meeting with Mr. Muhammad Fakhr-e-Alam, Managing Director of KPEF, to deliberate on pertinent issues such as HEC university rankings, quality assurance, and career planning. This 3-day program aims to empower private sector Higher Education Institutions through Continuing Professional Development of Lecturers.

23 talented lecturers, including 13 females, from private colleges and universities are participating in the course.
Today's resource person, Prof (R) Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Science & Technology Bannu, shared valuable insights on "Psychological Understanding to resolve students' issues in HEIs".

MD KPEF, Mr. Muhammad Fakhr Alam, highlighted the crucial role of KPEF in enhancing teaching-learning activities in HEIs across the province.

Strengthening Access to Quality Health Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Rehman College of Allied Health Sciences (RCAHS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation (KPEF) under the Merit Cum In-Affordability Scholarship Program, further expanding opportunities for deserving students across the province.

This important initiative, undertaken under the leadership of Mr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam, the Managing Director KPEF and on the advice of the Honourable Minister for Higher Education, reflects a strategic decision to include students from Allied Health Sciences disciplines, recognizing the growing market demand and workforce needs in the healthcare sector.

Through this collaboration, financial assistance will be provided to talented and deserving students enrolled in four-year BS programs in Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, enabling them to continue their education without financial barriers and contribute to strengthening the province’s healthcare system.
