12 August 1948 the black day in the history of Sub continent.
BABARRA MASSACRE:
On 12th August 1948,a protest demonstration was going to take place at Babara,charsadda against the demolition of khudai khidmatgar Markaz in sardaryab by the govt and the arrest of Bacha khan and khudai khidmatgars.
The protest procession was headed by salar e azam of khudai khidmatgars salar Amin jan khan of kochian Peshawar.The barbaric govt of the time headed by Qayyum khan in the province and jinnah ordered to open fire on peaceful procession including men,women and children .
Nearly seven hundreds Red shirt khudai khedmathgars were shot dead on that black day.injured were denied medical treatment in the hospital...hundreds of the corpses of the dead bodies were thrown in to the river Jeendi,......so it took several days for the relative to find out the bodies of their loved ones, the shaheed Khudai Khedmathgaars.
after the ruthless massacre,the shameless govt of Qayyum Khan issued penalty notices to the heirs of the shaheeds to pay the cost of the bullets used by the police in the killings of their dears ones...............
According to researchers on that bloody day 56000 rounds of bullets were fired on 5500 uniformed khudai khedmathgars and 60000 persons of the public who participated in the peaceful protest demonstration held in villages Babara of Tehsil charsadda.Among them 604 were found dead and many went missing as police threw the bodies in the river whose bodies has been recovered.
