Members of the Tribal Youth Movement recently participated in a TV session on Khyber News with prominent anchor Raifat Ullah Orakzai. The discussion focused on the critical challenges faced by the people of the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) after the merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the session, movement representatives raised their demands for both the provincial and federal governments to take urgent action.
Key issues highlighted included the lack of basic infrastructure, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare. The Tribal Youth Movement emphasized the need for swift developmental initiatives and proper resource allocation to bring the NMDs on par with other regions of Pakistan.
They also called for an end to lawlessness and stressed the need for peacebuilding measures to ensure lasting stability in the region. The youth leaders demanded the establishment of local governance structures, job opportunities, and special programs targeting youth empowerment.
The session ended with a strong appeal to both governments to prioritize the needs of the NMDs, ensuring the fruits of the merger benefit the long-neglected communities and lead to sustained peace and development.
