The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took special initiatives to celebrate the blessed occasion of Ashra-e-Rehmat-ul-lil-Aalameen, commemorating the blessed birth of Ashraf-ul-Anbiya, Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ), across the province.

In this regard, the Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm, love, devotion, and reverence across its offices, institutions, schools, rehabilitation centres, Panahgahs, and Dar-ul-Amans in all districts. Children, women, men, staff, officials, and beneficiaries participated with equal zeal, reflecting a shared spirit of faith, unity, and devotion.

Under the directions of the Honourable Advisor to Chief Minister for Zakat, Usher, Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Malik Liaqat khan, Secretary Social Welfare, Mr. Sharif Hussain, and Director Social Welfare Muhammad Saleh , the Department organized Seerat-un-Nabi (ﷺ) Conferences, Qirat Competitions, Naat Competitions, and Mehfil-e-Milad-un-Nabi (ﷺ) across its institutions. The activities were organized around the theme:
“سیرتِ طیبہ ﷺ کی روشنی میں مذہبی رواداری، بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی اور فروغِ امن”
The Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department organized these Seerah-based activities in:
a. 11 Dar-ul-Amans
b. 45 Special Education Schools
c. 11 Drug Addiction Rehabilitation Centres
d. Private Sector Rehabilitation Centres

The activities commenced from 1st Rabi-ul-Awwal and continued until 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, bringing staff, officials, students, and beneficiaries together in an atmosphere of devotion, motivation, and love for the Holy Prophet (ﷺ).

These province-wide activities reflected the true spirit of Rehmat-ul-lil-Aalameen, promoting religious tolerance, interfaith harmony, peace, compassion, and unity, while providing children, women, and men with an opportunity to express their love and devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

The celebrations across the province demonstrated a collective commitment to promoting the noble teachings and exemplary Seerah of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ).

وزیراعلیٰ خیبرپختونخوا کے گڈ گورننس روڈ میپ کے تحت محکمہ اعلیٰ تعلیم، بلدیات، سیاحت اور سماجی بہبود نے کارکردگی کے فریم ورک معاہدوں پر دستخط کردیئے۔

ان معاہدوں میں گڈ گورننس روڈ میپ کو ٹھوس اور قابلِ پیمائش نتائج میں تبدیل کرنے کے لئے اہداف اور مدتیں طے کئے گئے ہیں۔

کارکردگی معاہدوں کے تحت:

محکمہ سماجی بہبود 10 دارالامان اپ گریڈ کرے گا، 3 غیر فعال پناہ گاہیں فعال کی جائیں گی، اور 15 مراکز پر تین وقت کا کھانا یقینی بنایا جائے گا

پشاور سینٹر آف ایکسیلنس فار آٹزم کی بہتری، 3 خصوصی تعلیمی ادارے اپ گریڈ، 5 آؤٹ سورس ہوں گی

صوبے بھر کے 124 صنعتی تربیتی مراکز جدید خطوط پر استوار کئے جائیں گے

تمام محکمے یہ اہداف وقت پر مکمل کرنے کے پابند ہوں گے۔

GRIEVANCES REDRESSAL COMMITTEE
It is hereby notified for the information of all candidates who have qualified the written test for the posts in Social Welfare Department but have not been shortlisted for interview that they may submit a written application to the Grievances Redressal Committee, constituted under the Chairmanship of the Additional Secretary, Social Welfare, within mentioned time period in the attached notification.
The application shall clearly state the grounds of grievance and may be supported by relevant documentary evidence, where applicable.
No application received after the stipulated period shall be entertained.

یومِ آزادی کی خصوصی تقریب، اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کمپلیکس مردان
14 اگست 2026ء کو یومِ آزادی کے موقع پر اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کمپلیکس مردان میں خصوصی بچوں کے ساتھ ایک پروقار اور بامقصد تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا، جس میں وزیراعلیٰ خیبر پختونخوا کے مشیر برائے زکوٰۃ، عشر، سوشل ویلفیئر، اسپیشل ایجوکیشن اور ویمن ایمپاورمنٹ ڈیپارٹمنٹ، جناب لیاقت علی خان نے بطور مہمانِ خصوصی شرکت کی۔
تقریب کا باقاعدہ آغاز پرچم کشائی سے ہوا۔ اس موقع پر ڈسٹرکٹ سوشل ویلفیئر آفیسر مردان نے معزز مہمانِ خصوصی اور دیگر شرکاء کو خوش آمدید کہا اور یومِ آزادی کی اہمیت اور اس کے پیغام پر روشنی ڈالی۔
بعد ازاں مسٹر نذیر شاہ، ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کمپلیکس مردان، نے کمپلیکس کی کارکردگی، خصوصی بچوں کی تعلیم و تربیت میں حاصل ہونے والی کامیابیوں اور درپیش مسائل و چیلنجز کے بارے میں تفصیلی بریفنگ دی۔
تقریب میں خصوصی بچوں نے خوبصورت ٹیبلو اور مختلف ملی نغموں کے ذریعے وطن سے محبت کا اظہار کیا، جسے شرکاء نے بے حد سراہا۔ نمایاں کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرنے والے خصوصی بچوں میں تعریفی شیلڈز اور اسناد بھی تقسیم کی گئیں۔
مہمانِ خصوصی جناب لیاقت علی خان نے اپنے خطاب میں یومِ آزادی کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ عام طور پر لوگ یومِ آزادی اسلام آباد اور دیگر بڑے شہروں میں مناتے ہیں، لیکن ان کی خواہش تھی کہ اس سال یومِ آزادی کی خوشیاں ان لوگوں کے ساتھ منائی جائیں جو معاشرے کے کمزور اور محروم طبقات سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں۔ اسی جذبے کے تحت انہوں نے مردان کی پناہ گاہ میں بے گھر اور بے سہارا افراد کے ساتھ وقت گزارا، ان سے ملاقات کی اور پناہ گاہ کی روزمرہ سرگرمیوں کے بارے میں معلومات حاصل کیں۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اسی سلسلے میں مردان میں RCDA کے ڈرگ سنٹر کا دورہ کرکے زیرِ علاج افراد کے ساتھ کیک کاٹا گیا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ معاشرے کے محروم اور خصوصی طبقات کی خدمت کرنا ان کی ذمہ داری ہے اور انہیں خوشی اور فخر محسوس ہوتا ہے کہ وہ یومِ آزادی کی خوشیاں اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کمپلیکس مردان کے خصوصی بچوں کے ساتھ منا رہے ہیں۔
تقریب کے دوران خصوصی بچوں میں وہیل چیئرز اور دیگر ضروری سامان کے ساتھ اسناد بھی تقسیم کی گئیں۔ اس موقع پر خصوصی بچوں اور ان کے والدین نے حکومت کی جانب سے فراہم کی جانے والی سہولیات کو سراہا۔
مہمانِ خصوصی نے یومِ آزادی کے سلسلے میں لگائے گئے مختلف اسٹالز اور نمائش کا بھی دورہ کیا۔ انہوں نے سوشل ویلفیئر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی جانب سے تیار کردہ مصنوعات اور دستکاری کے کام کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ صوبے کی سطح پر ایک مستقل ڈسپلے سنٹر کے قیام کے لیے اقدامات کیے جائیں گے، جہاں صوبے کے تمام اضلاع کی تیار کردہ مصنوعات کو نمائش اور فروخت کے لیے پیش کیا جا سکے، تاکہ گھروں میں کام کرنے والے افراد خصوصاً خواتین اپنے ہنر سے باعزت طریقے سے آمدن حاصل کر سکیں اور اپنے خاندانوں کی مالی معاونت کر سکیں۔
اس موقع پر مشیرِ وزیراعلیٰ نے چائلڈ پروٹیکشن یونٹ کے مختلف شعبہ جات کا بھی معائنہ کیا اور خصوصی بچوں کے لیے مردان میں دستیاب مختلف سہولیات اور خدمات کا جائزہ لیا۔
جناب لیاقت علی خان نے اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کمپلیکس مردان کے تعلیمی نظام کو مزید بہتر بنانے کی ضرورت پر زور دیتے ہوئے BS سطح کے تعلیمی نظام کو اپ گریڈ کرنے کے لیے ہر ممکن تعاون اور جلد از جلد عملی اقدامات کرنے کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔
تقریب کے اختتام پر وطنِ عزیز کی سلامتی، ترقی اور خوشحالی کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی گئی۔ شرکاء نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ خصوصی افراد، بے سہارا بچوں اور معاشرے کے دیگر محروم طبقات کی فلاح و بہبود کے لیے اجتماعی طور پر اپنی ذمہ داریاں ادا کرتے رہیں گے۔

In compliance with the direction of Honorable Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Advisor to Chief Minister for Social Welfare and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Independence day celebrations were held by all Special Education Institutes, Darul Amans, Zamong Kor Institutes and District Offices all over the province.
One of the series of such programs was organized at the Special Education Complex (SEC), Hayatabad, Peshawar, on 14 August 2026, in connection with the 80th Independence Day of Pakistan. The event was graced by Mr. Sharif Hussain, Secretary to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zakat, Ushr, Social Welfare, Special Education & Women Empowerment Department, as the Chief Guest. Director Social Welfare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended as guest of honour.
The celebrations commenced with flag-hoisting ceremony, recitation of the Holy Quran, National Anthem, and Naat presentation. Students with different disabilities presented speeches, Milli Naghma, a skit, dress show, and music therapy, demonstrating their remarkable abilities, confidence, creativity, and patriotic spirit. The programme also featured “Shining Stars – Success Stories of Students with Disabilities,” highlighting their achievements and potential.
The Chief Guest highly appreciated the outstanding performances of the students and commended their teachers for their dedication, commitment, and efforts in training and preparing the children so effectively. He particularly acknowledged the determination and abilities of students with disabilities and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The event was arranged in collaboration with SRSP, Helping Hand Foundation, and Marie Stopes Society and the Chief Guest appreciated their continued support and assistance to the department. The event conveyed strong messages of hope, recovery, inclusion, achievement, and patriotism, creating an atmosphere of pride and national spirit among the participants.
The programme concluded with the presentation of a shield to the Chief Guest and distribution of goodie packs among the performers. This was followed by a tree plantation ceremony by the Chief Guest, symbolizing growth, hope, and a commitment to a greener Pakistan. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the progress, prosperity, peace, and continued development of Pakistan.

Women Crisis Center Peshawar today, 14th August 2026, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The event was graced by Ms. Rubab Mehdi, Ombudsperson Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace, as the Chief Guest. Representatives of CSOs, female advocates, and female officers of the Social Welfare Department also attended the event.

The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by National Anthem, various tableaus, games, and activities presented by the residents, reflecting their talent, confidence, and patriotic spirit.

The Secretary Social Welfare and Director Social Welfare, along with the Hon’ble Chief Guest, cut the Independence Day cake, symbolizing freedom, unity, hope, and solidarity.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Rubab Mehdi appreciated the Social Welfare Department’s efforts and services for GBV survivors and assured her continued support for initiatives aimed at protecting and empowering women. She also expressed her willingness to provide voluntary support to women in need.

The Secretary Social Welfare assured the residents of better services, a safe and supportive environment, and improved facilities at the Women Crisis Center Peshawar as well as all 15 Dar-ul-Amans across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He appreciated the female officers of the Department and staff of the Center for their dedicated services and directed Manager and staff to ensure full care, support, protection with dignity and care.

The celebrations concluded with a renewed commitment to women’s safety, dignity, protection, rehabilitation, and empowerment, reaffirming the Social Welfare Department’s resolve to provide compassionate and responsive services to women across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
