On the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, the Center of Excellence for Special Children with Autism celebrated this memorable day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. Our children actively participated in a flag-colouring activity, expressing their love for Pakistan through creativity and joy.

The celebration concluded with a delightful cake-cutting ceremony, making the occasion even more memorable for everyone.

Two-Day Parent Training Workshop arranged at our Center of Excellence for Special Children with Autism successfully conducted a two-day Parent Training Workshop aimed at enhancing parents' understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The workshop commenced with Ms Maryam who welcomed the participants and provided a comprehensive overview of the workshop's objectives and significance.

Following the introduction, Madam Maryam delivered an informative session on Autism Spectrum Disorder, explaining its characteristics and discussing why autism is considered a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition rather than a curable disorder.

Madam Tahira presented a detailed session on the role of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in supporting children with autism. She explained evidence-based ABA interventions for skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and improving functional independence.

Madam Palwasha discussed the impact of excessive screen time on children with autism and provided practical guidance on managing problem behaviors at home.

On the second day, Madam Rutaba and Madam Maryam conducted comprehensive sessions on speech and language difficulties in children with autism.

Mr. Hamza and Madam Gulalai delivered sessions on the role of Occupational Therapy (OT) in Autism Spectrum Disorder. They explained common sensory and motor challenges experienced by children with autism.
At the conclusion of the workshop, individualized home plans were provided to parents to facilitate the implementation of the strategies discussed during training.

Overall, the workshop was highly interactive and productive. Parents actively participated throughout the sessions, asked detailed questions regarding their children's challenges, and received evidence-based guidance from the multidiciplinary team of Center of Excellence for Special Children with Autism.

As part of the inclusive education program being implemented by the Association for Aid and Relief Japan in collaboration with the Elementary and Secondary Education Department KP, participants from District Abbottabad and Haripur visited the Center of Excellence for Special Children with Autism in Peshawar today.

During the visit, the participants were given a detailed introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder and the different therapies provided for children with autism, including ABA Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy.

They were also taken on a tour of each department, where therapists explained the therapy materials and answered their questions.

Overall, the participants had a very informative experience, learned a great deal from the visit, and shared positive feedback about the institution and its services.
