The Skills Development Project (SDP), funded by IFAD ,the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and implemented through KP-RETP, successfully concluded a five-day Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) program for the Southern Region.
The initiative was launched to strengthen the province’s certified assessor pool and support the competency-based assessment of graduated trainees and upcoming trainees across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, conducted under the Tri Party Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between NAVTTC, KP-RETP, and UET Peshawar.
A total of 70 industry & academic experts are being proposed across 3 distinct phases. Phase I(Southern cluster) brought together 31 potential assessors covering specialized trades within emerging , digital , agribusiness, Tevt sectors. Throughout the training, participants received comprehensive guidance on NAVTTC’s assessment framework, the National Vocational Qualifications Framework (NVQF) protocols, and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) methodologies.
The program was formally inaugurated by Team lead SDP ,Prof.Dr.Tahir Khan , Project Manager SDP ,Prof. Dr. Misbahullah alongside Mr. Kamal Abdul Aamer, Deputy Director (RPL/JPC), NAVTTC, HQ Islamabad ,Mr Muhammad Ghazanfar Ali Rao ,Director General Accreditation & Certification NAVTTC Islamabad. Mr Amjad Miraj ,Project Director KP-RETP , graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
