- After the formal inauguration of Polio Campaign in District Kech, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kech Mr. Hussain Jan, ERM meeting of District Kech was held in Deputy Commissioner's office Turbat. AC Turbat
UC in-charges and TTSP including Dr. Ababkar Baloch, DHO, Dr. Nowroz Yaqoob from WHO, Rahim Baloch of PPHI and District Polio Focal Person Zarif Alian Rind participated in the meeting.
- AC Turbat and officers from line department conducted visits and monitored progress of teams in field.
- It was informed in the meeting that reports of 12 UCs have been received out of 41 UCs across the district. While other UCs will be received late due to lack of mobile network.
- It was told in the meeting that the target of 12 UC was 10361 today, in which 11103 children have been administered polio drops more than the target. While 10 of the 30 refused children have been persuaded and administered polio drops. Overall coverage of the district has been 107 percent.
- The Deputy Commissioner while issuing instructions to the DHO and ADC (G) said that the parents of all the refused children should be celebrated and the children should be given polio drops. Moreover SP police should be approached to provide full support as far as security is concerned.
- Deputy Commissioner Kech has issued instructions to a special committee which will immediately monitor the process of administering polio drops to the refusal children and N/A children and submit a report tomorrow.
- The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the excellent performance of the polio team despite the extreme heat and said that the frontline workers are worthy of tribute.
