*BCSW Second Board Meeting*
The Second Board Meeting of the Balochistan Commission on the Status of Women (BCSW) was held on 23 July 2026 at the BCSW Conference Room, Quetta, under the chairpersonship of Ms. Kiran Baloch, Chairperson BCSW. The Board reviewed and deliberated on key institutional, administrative, and policy matters aimed at strengthening the Commission and enhancing its effectiveness. Discussions focused on women’s empowerment, prevention of gender-based violence (GBV), protection of women’s inheritance rights, legal awareness, institutional reforms, capacity building, and expanding awareness and outreach initiatives across Balochistan. The Board also considered and approved important agenda items and decisions to further strengthen the Commission’s mandate and performance.
The Board Members unanimously appreciated the visionary leadership, dedication, and remarkable efforts of Ms. Kiran Baloch in establishing and strengthening the Commission within a very short period of time. The Members congratulated the Chairperson on successfully putting the Commission on a strong institutional footing despite limited resources and acknowledged her commitment to advancing the rights and welfare of women across Balochistan. The Board reaffirmed its collective commitment to working together for the promotion, protection, and empowerment of women throughout the province.
