Housing Reconstruction Unit – IFRAP Balochistan: Not Just Rebuilding Homes, But Restoring Lives

Housing Reconstruction Unit – IFRAP Balochistan is not only a project it is a bold commitment by the Government of Pakistan to rebuild what was lost and strengthen what lies ahead. In the wake of the devastating 2022 floods, when thousands of families were left without shelter or security, this initiative emerged as a lifeline turning despair into determination.

This is more than bricks and mortar. Every home built under this initiative is a shield against future disasters, a symbol of dignity, and a foundation for a better tomorrow. Designed with resilience at its core raised plinths, stronger structures, and climate-smart techniques these homes are built not just to stand, but to withstand.
What makes Housing Reconstruction Unit – IFRAP Balochistan truly impactful is its people-centered approach. It empowers local communities, engages skilled and unskilled labor and prioritizes the most vulnerable ensuring that recovery is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable.
This is not reconstruction. This is a transformation. A transformation where homes bring back hope, where communities rise stronger, and where Balochistan moves forward with resilience and pride.

The Government of Pakistan, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Honourable Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Prof. Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhary, is sincerely acknowledged for its steadfast commitment to the recovery and rehabilitation of flood-affected communities in Balochistan.
