The 9th Provincial Steering Committee of the Deliver Justice Project was successfully held in Quetta, reaffirming the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to advancing justice sector reforms. With funding from the European Union’s Deliver Justice Project and implementation support from UNODC, UNDP, and UN Women, Balochistan’s Rule of Law Roadmap continues to guide reforms that improve access to justice, strengthen accountability, and enhance institutional performance.
The meeting reviewed progress on legislative reforms, including Criminal Justice Acts, operationalization of the the PC-I, establishment of Smart Police Stations along with establishment of Court Annexed Mediation Centers that are increasing public trust in policing services. Participants also underscored the importance of digital tools, case management systems, and capacity-building initiatives to make justice delivery more effective.
The committee agreed to priorities approval of remaining criminal justice acts, implementation of PC-I, gender-responsive justice and scaling up data-driven monitoring. Together, these reforms build the foundation for peace, stability, and good governance in .
